It lost its appeal for me after they changed to the Euro. Prices went up, everything became more commercialised and Dam didn't seem the same. Before that there was something much more down to earth about the place, like you were tapping into being part of the locals.

it’s still a good crack because you make your own fun and fk the boring Dutch ****s……anyways I’m at odds myself with putting money into a country which has an establishment that is turning Nazi and liberal freedoms are being eroded

Christian conservatives are trying to take the red light and cannabis industry from the city…….but that’s just the small problem…..icke has been banned from the country because he’s deemed a threat after he was asked to speak at a peace and freedom rally now that’s the major problem….a dissolved government is also trying to pull in laws which makes it illegal to have opposition to the official narratives

so for me if I ever do go back it’ll be Rotterdam

You weren't there a couple of days ago were you?

Was planning on Jordan next year. Will see how things go I think!

Meant to be decent but yeah maybe give it a year.

I’m going to Sofia for the weekend on Friday. Was close, cheap and fairly warm. Everyone I’ve asked who’s been says it’s a dive.

Strangely enough Sofia (and Plovdiv) is on my list for a shorter trip without nipper. Let me know what it's like as I might **** it off for the Balkans instead.

Yeah I’ve been to Riga which was good but heard Tallinn is better. You can’t really go wrong with a dirty cheap European city in summer. Bucharest is an absolute ****hole but I loved it. Tirana is exactly what you’d expect an Albanian city to be from every stereotype of Albanians here.

I’d like to visit Spartak Plovdiv as they play in blue and white hoops and nicknamed the ground Loftus Road. Flying high at the top of the Bulgarian third tier so that’s where the similarities end.

Think I've decided on Morocco instead of Jordan. Anyone been before?

Trying to decide whether to go to Marrakesh or Fes. Or both.

You ever thought about Gaza ? <whistle>

Been to Morocco loads, it's a great country.

I'd recommend Marrakesh for a 2-3 days (it is a bit touristy) but well worth seeing, it's a beautiful city. Then drive out to the coast to Essouira which is more of a Moorish/Moroccan town with a cosmopolitan vibe. You could then loop back inland via the Atlas mountains and see some real Moroccan villages and get a flavour of Beber life.

Great food, wonderful hospitality and nice hashish. You'll love it.

How was it?

Loved it. Much nicer and safer place than Bucharest. Good level of birds without many absolute worldies like you’d get in Prague. Didn’t do any boring cultural **** really apart from walking around and stopping outside the odd statue/church for 30 seconds.

Alcohol relatively cheap. The nice bars might be £7 or so for a cocktail but pints in general around £2-£3. Food was good but need to do a bit of research. Went to Bulgaria v Lithuania with a crowd of about 10000 and locals threatening to ambush the VIP seats to get at someone when they went 2-0 down.

You can stay in a 5* all-inclusive for a case of Evian. Up the IDF.

Marrakech is class. I’d stay in a Riad in the centre if going for a weekend or when it’s colder. When warm I’d stay out of town at a resort with pool etc. and bus/taxi into the centre at night. The big hotels lay on a shuttle bus and it’s only 10-15 mins.

Yeah Marrakech is great city. Love it that you can pick oranges from the trees walking down the streets.

Sound, you've convinced me. Gonna book up for March.
