I think most people in reality vote for a PM given the swathes of mugs taken in by cuddly Boris the working class champion. I think it would be ok if they had a rolling banner across the middle of the screen saying it was a party political broadcast and maybe a fact check flashing up every four seconds and a firework goes off every time someone says “stop the boats” or “gender-neutral toilets” and perhaps something in the corner of the screen saying they’re backed by a Middle East hedge fund and purely there to reinforce the bigotry of morons who have been drip-fed right wing propaganda for decades.
The mainstream news outlets are **** scared of GB News. It's beginning to get better viewing figures than lefty channels, BBC and Sky. 4% of the country watched it in August for an average of 53 seconds including pensioners falling asleep in front of it so I reckon Sky and the BBC will be ok. The problem isn’t its popularity as despite misleading headlines it isn’t but the dangerous nonsense they pump out while pretending to be a serious news channel when it’s just good old fashioned propaganda.
