The trial and tribulations of horse racing continue. Now in Newmarket horse **** is a problem, or more accurately it’s disposal. The RP reports that one of the 2 companies that disposed of used stable bedding is to cease trading today leaving a whole host of trainers in the lurch and one company left to charge what it likes. I would have thought straw and horse **** would be a decent form of compost for farmers. My dear ol Grandad would never leave horse **** in the road and would take it home for his tomato plants. Although Newmarket does apparently generate 25000 tonnes annually so that’s a lot of tomato plants!
Anyway a couple of fancies at Worcester: Mix of Clover @ 10/1 (R4) and Allihies @ 13/2 in the big race for the Skeltons (yes a big race at Worcester!).

(16:30) Worcester, a 2m7f Class-4 Handicap Hurdle (Brush) being run on the expected softish ground, gives the French-bred mare, Stamina Chope, a chance to run a decent race. Could be well-suited by the fixed brush hurdles in this event? Lee Edwards rides for the Dave Roberts yard.

4/1 /Bet365/Unibet) seems to be the best price at time of writing.

Ran a good race to finish second, just could not cut back the 11/10 favourite. Obviously took to the brush hurdles well and, but for a slight mistake two out, might have got even closer to the winner?
