Since 2000 (and it's surely the same for the years beforehand), only Sheffield United (back in 2011/12 I believe) missed out on automatic promotion with 90 points. Any other season, 90 points is enough to guarantee you a top two spot. More than 90 points gets you a top two spot.
We could have four teams finish with over 90 points and two of them have to try and get through via the play offs! Absolutely mad!
