It's an unprecedented season, with four phenomenal, in-form sides battling for two automatic places and potentially clocking in over 90 points by the end of the regular season.

Since 2000 (and it's surely the same for the years beforehand), only Sheffield United (back in 2011/12 I believe) missed out on automatic promotion with 90 points. Any other season, 90 points is enough to guarantee you a top two spot. More than 90 points gets you a top two spot.

We could have four teams finish with over 90 points and two of them have to try and get through via the play offs! Absolutely mad!

I think it was Butcher the other week put all that in its place. Let’s look at this sort of stuff when it’s the top division. We have to get there first.

Far be it for me to disagree with Butcher (or you!).However,we can only beat what’s put in front of us (which we continue to do in some style) and after years of dour, failing football let’s enjoy this progressive, positive mood and take some pride in how we’re going about it.

I agree BigAl. This is no fluke, to witness such an astonishing transformation in our Club's fortunes, is bringing great joy to thousands of people, their family, communities, and the breadth & length of Suffolk!

I missed this. Specifically, it was about comparing records. I agree with Butcher that you can’t compare a record set in the top flight with a record set largely in the third tier. I also agree that it was an epic and heroic effort and achievement for the current side.
