For all the negativity about Rosenior and the style of play in the past. He's turned these players who were supposedly **** into massive contributors

Ozan Tufan
Aaron Connolly
Ryan Allsopp

If Sinik comes back and contributes then I would hand him the keys to the city

Its gone very quiet on Sinik again hasn't it?

Not for the first time this season, the first few pages of the matchday thread were piss-takingly negative for a game we've gone on to win comfortably. I can't get my head around why this board is so determined to be miserable about the current side. All the signs are good, the results and the performances are good, despite the extra challenge of a fanbase many of whom have been baying for blood since pre-season. And there's clearly more to come; we're not scraping past teams or nicking results, we're either winning comfortably or just missing out on wins. On our bad days, we control games and are hard to beat but wasteful in front of goal. That's a recipe for promotion. Unless this side drops off from our current standard, we'll be in the playoffs at worst.
There's a fair few people, and I sit near a few in south, who don't comprehend that football has once again changed, and that playing out from the back, methodically, and passing backwards to retain the ball is the way most teams play now. At the first sign of it going wrong there are people shouting 'forward', who then with no hint of irony, get face on when someone hits a long ball and it goes straight to them. Basically....can't please everyone. Ever

According to the pre match presser he's due to play a couple of 21s games like we did with Adama.

What was actually wrong with Sinik? Some mystery phantom injury that has never been disclosed, he’s managed to get on the bench and play a few minutes for the development squad then disappear again.

Really weird.

I maintain there’s more going on than meets the eye there.

That’s exactly what happened at Bristol City last season, never deliberate hand ball but ref gave penalty

There was a penalty awarded yesterday in the Luton game I believe where the ball hit the players thigh then ricocheted up onto his arm, everyone was saying it shouldn't be a pen, even Mike Dean , yet VAR concurred it should be. Its getting fkn ridiculous.

I doubt their manager will last the day
That was a get rid of the manager performance from them

it was **** for half an hour be honest
We scored two well taken goals from dare I say it long balls
Game over
After that we knocked it about with ease

never seen an easier game agaisnt stoke

confidence builder

A good win and at last it's beginning to sink in. More big boot forward and let the forwards do the rest. Stoke were xxxxe, nearly as bad as Wednesday. Give it some welly and a top 6 spot is achievable.

Just caught up, missed the game today due to having other plans and reading this match day thread now and just WOW, Crazy how negative people are about team selection, playing for a draw and jumping on players backs before a ball is kicked yet we just won 1-3 away

Fair enough if we lose then kick off but this is just depressing reading when we are doing well!

Just think it's mainly physical conditioning - demands of the championship are like nothing he's experienced in his career so far.

It's completely baseless and irrational.

I don't know if there's still a fitness issue at play, but either way I think he just doesn't get in the squad currently. We've got Lokilo on the bench every game as well as Allahyar who has barely kicked a ball this season because there are so many players ahead of him. Last season, Allahyar was probably our number 1 winger, and even then Sinik was typically not making the bench and eventually loaned out. Other than LR talking him up, which he does with everyone, I just think all the evidence suggests the management don't rate him and never have.

No, not buying that. He's played 100-odd games in Turkey over the last 6 years or so, he must have had a few knocks in that time and got over it. Either he's got a career-threatening injury which no-one wants to accept yet or there's something else. He's been out for best part of a year now, he's well into Josh Emmanuel territory.

Or perhaps it's they who've got us coming soon. After all, Leicester have a 100% record except for when they had to play us.
Indeed, but it was meant to be a light-hearted, rhetorical post.

There's nothing overly wrong with him injury wise. The only bits I know are that Liam wasn't a fan of him at all when he came in in terms of his attitude or his condition. He shipped him out on loan and didn't expect to manage him again. The chairman is a big fan of his though and he's on BIG BIG wages (pretty much top earner) so it is harder for him to leave than some others. Liam basically said 'Ok, I'll give him a shot but he has to bulk up, get fit and apply himself to the best of his abilities before he comes into contention' and here we are.

If it was as cut and dry as that he surely would have been on the pre season tour, playing in friendlies, playing for the u21’s at least. He’s not even training with the first team, if he’s training at all.

True but he was on the bench vs Leicester. He has been training full time with a conditioning coach to get him as strong and as fit as he possibly can. He's getting match fit this next week or so.

You never know, he might come back as stacked as Livermore was after his ban <laugh>

My twopenneth for what it’s worth….mad dogs, Englishmen/women, tigresses, 32 degrees heat in Cyprus. Was around the pool, set my alarm in time for kick off, drink in hand, in front of screen, hoping for a mauling. Not disappointed, no negativity here, good all round performance. I feel for Ingram, but on showing so far, very impressed with Allsop,Matt will struggle to get back in, only disappointment that Tufan didn’t get a look in. Thought that Slater had a good game, got stuck in. Good to have the bragging rights over a Stoke supporting colleague, only right after the game to go out on a celebration…..be rude not to?

Back home in time for the Plymouth game, more of the same please! UTT.
