I've never been his greatest fan, but I appreciate his sense of humour and self-deprecation. He understands the relationship between the fans and the players/managers. People take the piss or insult him and he knows the best way to deal with it. I also think it's quite funny that he got qualified as a ref. You don't know what it's like? Yes, I do!

Dick Advocaat was doing some punditry for AZ's match against Zrinjski in Bosnia. The Dutch were 3-0 up at half-time and he claimed that such teams shouldn't be in Europe. The home side came back after the break and won 4-3! Some spectacular goals, including one scored by Josip Corluka, who is a right-back but no relation.
Weird how you all have such an obsesseion with teams in European games when your own team failed to get in any, even the conference.

The article title is misleading, as we discuss games regarding clubs who are not rivals by any real measure. Of course, we have specific articles for those "special" clubs (on which some people use to try and signal they are actually still alive) .
