Well, that was nerve wracking to say the least.

First 20-30 we looked incredibly good but once they equalised we looked very nervy again up to half time.
Good start again 2nd half but by gawd we made it tougher on ourselves with some poor decision making towards the end....

The really pleasing thing is we rested Rambo and tried to rest Meite and still got a result.

Few more minutes for Robbo too...

Lots of positives but lots to work on still too.

Winning, more goal scorers, development of the team. It would be churlish to ask for more.

I'm sure there will be a few bumps in the road, and we definitely need to tighten up at the back, but a far cry from last season when it took 22 games to score the 18 goals we've scored in 9 games this season.

we need to get some psychiatrists working with the squad over these last minute goals.
and erol needs to do some stuff on game management.

It’s a concern how poor we are at keeping possession and playing in the other half when we get in front. The opposition swarm all over us but it’s all so avoidable if we attack rather than sit back. We only just hung on tonight. This is something the manager needs to get a grip on.

Great to score 3, could easily have been 4 or 5. 2 poor goals conceded.

First one Alnwick should have punched out wide not straight back to them and I think it was Goutas who lost his man when the ball was played through.

Second one, some distance from me but it looked like Albwick should have come for the cross which was only 6 feet or so from the goal line.

Nevertheless, overall good attacking play while missing Ramsey the main man.

Siopis outstanding again.

Looking at the highlights I think it was Ugbo who lost his man for their first and while the guy was 15ft out not 6 so too far for Alnwick to come, he should have stopped the header - straight at him.

Correct about their second goal Bluey - a bigger and more positive keeper would have gone for that cross rather than standing on his line. Having said that, he's far more agile than Allsop and has got down to shots that Rocky would have let in.

The game itself was far from perfect but it was a 3 points in the bag that we would have dropped last season. Every player on the pitch had a real go and that's credit to Bulut. There was some lack of control that the absence of Ramsey highlighted, but Siopis is the player who's really making the difference to the overall performances.

One of the most important things on the night going forward was Grant's first goal. With him and Miete in the side together (sorry Ugbo) with Rambo and Siopis in midfield, we'll continue to push on. Tighten that defence and we're in no danger - in fact we can look up the table rather than over our shoulders.
