I hate leeds the team and the area

But its pretty easy to understand that for someone who isint aware of our owners or team
That waving turkish flags
Which on many occasions has been done to taunt their fans
Could be seen as offensive

By showing we have turkish owners and have waved them due to that can make those unaware
Aware

No ones saying you cant take one

If the owners were scottish
Would there be saltires waved?

Not sure re; waving the Saltire although I’d have waved my tadger if it meant getting rid of the Allams :emoticon-0184-tmi:

I appreciate the sensitivity re; Turkish flags but surely making the Leeds fans aware of this possibility and the fact it is done to support our owners and not to antagonise them is a good thing.

Any stabby gestures or songs relating to this from anyone in the home stands should result in them being immediately thrown out by whoever’s closest!

I don’t find it strange. The owners have come in and turned the club around. They are passionate about creating ‘One Family’ and have treated the fans accordingly.

When they had the earthquakes in Turkey we showed our support for their home country and donated funds. Fans flying Turkish flags show that we back their ownership.
You don’t find it strange as you’re a Hull supporter and know why it’s done. Anyone else would “wonder why” and think it’s strange. When Leeds fans have been taunted in the past with this kind of thing then they’re going to assume it’s aimed at those who lost their lives, far better to educate.

I agree it’s better the reasons are reiterated, but most proper football fans have an inkling of the general ownership background of clubs they play against.
Everyone knows Cardiff’s owner, everyone knows the family behind Leicester, and most will know we had some toxic ****ers that were replaced by some Turkish tv bloke.
Plenty of Leeds fans will pretend they don’t so they can convince themselves they’re indignance is righteous…but they’ll be lying.
They may wonder for 2 seconds why there is a Turkish flag on the stadium, then realise why even if they don’t know the owners name.
Some of them will still prefer to act as if has been put there just to taunt them…because that’s the type of people they are.

So yes awareness is good as it will remove the excuse for some…but they’ll still kid themselves they didn’t know

Is the Turkish flag also being removed from the front of the KCOM? That'd be some proper trolling.

It shouldn't be difficult.
Hull City A.F.C. and their fans have never disrespected the terrible event in Turkey. We've been very respectful and honoured the pre-game remembrance, Home & Away.
If you see a Turkish flag, it's not intended as an insult to Leeds or the tragic loss of two of your finest.,
It's in respect of our ownership.

Other than that, we ****ing hate you with a passion.

Am I right in saying we've held firm on giving Leeds a minimal allocation? Amazing to sell out regardless of this and not bowing to undoubted demand from Leeds supporters to increase their allocation. Now as Tan said we just have to hope we are loud and proud and out sing them all game.

And will be protected by police and stewards in a way that away fans in the home areas at Elland Road would not be.

Tough game this. I think both teams will score and we can cause them problems. Their pace is a concern for me. We can't allow them to break quickly because their wingers will outpace our full backs and if Piroe gets a chance he usually hits the target. Would love to sneak a late winner but I've gone for another 1-1 draw.
