Feel like it's kinda flew under the radar that Everton have just been sold to a bunch of dodgy yanks who are apparently skint.
With the other clubs that these lot hold it seems to me that their business model is to take over teams that are struggling, presumably relatively cheaply, and then not do anything to improve them. Would be interesting to see if they all have assets (e.g. valuable land) that could be sold on once they have run them into the ground. Presumably Everton now have a couple of bits, one of which has a half built stadium on. Maybe thinking taht with a few thousand gallons of red paint, they could sell it to Liverpool, if Everton go under, and then sell the Goodison Park piece for apartments etc.
From GOT: "What baffles me is how we stayed up last year, after watching Leeds and Leicester over the weekend they look far better teams than us. Going into the season I felt things would be a bit easier this year as I thought the three teams coming up would probably go down but I forgot how crap we are." Lol
Whilst Everton are bad and they're feeling quite miserable right now I think Luton are possibly one of the worst promoted teams I've ever seen Certainly Everton are better
Their hearing is Oct so I'm hoping Moshiri is bailing because he knows they're getting points deductions.
True but not much better - Luton only a point behind them after 5 games (and have a game in hand...) There is already a relegation group sorting themselves out sharpish this year. Bournemouth Wolves Sheff U Everton Burnley Luton Past that 6 the bottom 10 are Chelsea, Man U, Forrest and NUFC - Forrest play Burnley tonight and could be 8 points clear by 9.45 this evening and can't see the others in that group getting sucked in to a relegation battle Burnley and Luton look like the obvious choices after a few games but both have games in hand on Everton as it stands (Burnley 2 inc tonights game, Luton 1) I think Wolves will pull clear, Bournemouth are improving leaving one of Everton and Sheff U to join the other 2. Everton may get lucky this season that the three promoted teams just aren't good enough but with any kind of points deduction they'll be in real trouble.
They either get relegated or finish 16th or something, they probably feel like we did under Ashley. Daft ****s.
I never cared much thought for Everton but I became aware they hated Newcastle and unfortunately they're going to be the losers.
Everton fans firmly believe they should be competing every season. Their little efforts to force Moshiri out were masking an arrogant belief that Qatar or some other super rich owner would be desperate to aquire their club. They were wrong.
