Think England must be close to finding the right squad now:
GK -Ramsdale/Pickford/GK
RB - Walker/Trippier
RCB - Stones/Guehi
LCB - Tomori/Colwill
LB - Shaw/Chilwell
RCM - Rice/Trent
LCM - Bellingham/Gallagher
RW - Saka/Eze
CAM - Foden/Maddison
LW - Sterling/Grealish
CF - Kane/Rashford
Barring injuries that is a VERY good team with massive versatility and we still have a decent team behind that incase of injuries:
Pope, James, Dunk/Mings, White, Justin, Dier/Phillips, JWP, Bowen, Mount, Nkhetia//Abrahams/Toney/Wilson.
Only the CM looking a little thin Imo and probably the only question mark would be Gallagher in the initial squad. No need for Henderson, Maguire or Phillips really so hopefully Southgate will swallow his pride and make the right call on those 3. The majority of that squad have Euro/WC experience to the very latter stages now and should have the knowledge and know how of how to make it deep into tournaments.
With the Euros 9 months away we must be in with a decent shout. France will either win it or crash out in the group stage and past them Spain, Italy Germany are going through big turnovers in their squads. Holland, Portugal blow hot or cold and Croatia who've been fantastic in recent years are getting on (modric is 38 now)

Except we all know it’ll be below because maguire & Pickford won’t be dropped (don’t actually think ramsdale is any better than Pickford so unless henderson has a storming season and those 2 **** up somehow) and Southgate doesn’t play with only 1 dm so rice Phillips or rice henderson will be alongside Bellingham as the one forward thinking midfielder. Foden wont ever play centrally under Southgate he pretty much said if pep doesn’t do it why would I?

Willock is absolutely class but most the country hasn't got a ****ing clue.
While I kind of expect this to happen, if Phillips and Maguire aren't playing for their clubs they shouldn't be being selected and hopefully Southgate will come under so much pressure he'll relent... doubt it but we can pray.

A lot of people when we were in the summer window. A lot said he wasn’t good enough for us.
Him and Maddison have been stand out players this season so far.
Are these the same people that said Joelinton couldn't control a ball and that Bruno Guimareas should be dropped for longstaff or Anderson ?
