However **** all the other countries are becoming (Germany, Italy for two), other than France, Mr. Personality Southgate will still find a way to **** it up.
Only chatting the other night about Southgate....and how England regularly balls it up. France, not a massive football nation....In World Cup final 4 four times...Won it twice... Germany.....In World Cup final 7 times....Won it 4 times. Italy.............In world Cup final 6 times....Won it 4 times. Argentina.....In world cup final 6 times.....Won it 3 times. I won't even mention Brazil... England..massive football nation....In 1 World Cup final...If we carry on with Herbert's like Southgate we won't win it ever again....He couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag.
People in the comments about the herr Flick story on the BBC webpage, are suggesting Germany appoint Southgate https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66765708
England, in 2 major finals. One managed by Southgate. How many World Cup semi finals have we been in?
Southgate's the second most successful manager England have every had, so the 'couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag' is clearly nonsense. The criticism of him for playing it too safe is justified, in my opinion, but comments like the above are not.
I’d rather have an English manager, than another Sven or Capello, who were worse managers, with, IMO, better players. It would have been good to see England win something, but I always felt a foreign manager would ultimately taint it, there’d always be that, “well Sweden/Italy really won it,” comments!
Just another example of people mindlessly parroting nonsense they've picked up somewhere without applying an ounce of critique to it. The taking of the knee back in Euro 2020 made Southgate a pariah to many people.
I heard the stat about him being.the first German manager to be sacked this morning. That seems amazing to me as we seem to have sacked dozen just in my few tender years.
You can knock Sven all you want but he did manage to bed Ulrika (in her prime looks a bit rough now) Not our Ulrika the one off the telly before anyone makes that mistake.
Plus these two, a bit of a lad was our Sven. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I didn't mind Sven - he seemed to get the team beating smaller nations and qualified for all tournaments under him, after 4-5 years of **** following Euro 96. The players certainly liked him. Went a bit wrong at the end but it always does.
Well, going by statistics which so many on here swear by, Capello has the highest win ratio of any England manager. Second is a Mr Southgate. Bobby Robson who most people loved is down at 10th.
