Maguire and Henderson shouldn't be playing. What the **** was Slabhead doing on the goal?
Rashford should be on the left and Kane should be allowed more mobility.
A front six of Maddison, Rice, Bellingham, Rashford, Kane and Saka would be lethal.

Maguire is playing for his experience. You can’t really play two rookies in an away fixture like this.
And because he’s usually solid for England.
But not playing for your club is bound to have a detrimental effect.

They are PL league players to call them rookies is not right. Playing a player who is not getting picked for his club is ridiculous from a manager who claims to pick on form. I haven't noticed England win anything with Maguire and Southgate in the team.

They have no international experience though. It’s a different game. And they have not played alongside these teammates. Experience counts for a lot at international level in any sport. Stones is out so bringing in two new CBs is a big gamble.
Maguire has performed well for England; he is experienced.
It’s a bit like the Jonny Bairstow debate in cricket.

Does Bairstow carry the drinks for Yorkshire?

Unfair to Bairstow who is a major contributor. What Maquire has done is debatable anyway but whatever it is it is in the past. Players have always debuted and made a difference. IMO the international games are rarely as pressurised as the PL is now anyway.

All those attacking players and England fail to produce one real attacking moment apart from Kane's pass.

Southgate really is a clueless manager.

He’s such a pragmatist.
A 1-1 draw probably guarantees England win the group, but we were likely to do that anyway.
He had a chance to entertain, create a feel good factor and showcase the attacking talents at his disposal (and there are many in this squad).
But he plays not to lose.
