Someone on Charlton Life reckons Dave Challinor from Stockport has left, he was supposedly interviewed yesterday.

To be fair, he 's Northern based so the move south may not appeal, but for any snobs at the Valley, a manager who prefers to manage Stockport rather than Charlton has gotta sting.

Announcement thursday? Whoever it is it'll be someone that a lotof fans didn't want.. Lee Johnson hasn't been interviewed so we're safe there.

According to the Sheriff Charlton Athletic approached the manager of a Mumbai team (India) but that Club wanted too much compensation.
I didn't even know they played football in India.

This was apparently something to do with a tinpot 'Global' football network operated by one of our anonymous Cayman Island wrong-uns.

Basically we could be foisted off with practically anybody.

I can't see our next manager being an upgrade on Holden, or Jacko, who is now doing well at Wimbledon after they stuck by him during a poor spell. Didn't Curbs have a losing spell of 11 games but we stuck by him and were rewarded.

I wonder if something happened behind the scenes? Holden wasn't perfect - some of the teams he set out were a bit odd (Oxford was a dire first half) but it's unusual that there have been no messages thanking the fans/wishing the club well for the future etc! It makes me wonder whether there was some monumental dispute. A couple of the players 'liked' the tweet when the club announced he was leaving, which is also very unusual.

Can only think a strange NDA has not allowed him a public comment.

Out of interest, which players were they? One thing if it was Dobbo and Alfie, another thing if it was McGrandles and Kirk.
