ain't done much river fishing since i was a kid. mostly sea and lake and bugger all for a couple of years now. Pike fishing is fun - proper scrap, some strong enough to tug your boat along.

Our lass is off to Portugal tomorrow so I hope to get a bit in while she’s away.

I forgot to mention a lot of Bleg, Also I was fishing with large baited Daylights, 3 hooks, got 2 Mackerel and on lifting them into the boat also hooked a seagull. Bloody thing had the hook through its beak but was still managing to fly around dragging 2 mackerel and a 12 ounce weight! One of the lads had to help as I couldnt keep hold of the rod and sort it out, but it went back relatively unharmed
