Pain up the backside! Roads closed off, delays everywhere - including a 30mph speed limit if I use the Ouse bridge. Got to be in East Hull by noon tomorrow so to avoid this lot I'll probably have to leave Carlton around 10am. Cyclists - annoying motorists for over 125 years!

Just jump on the motorway at Goole and avoid it

Brilliant managed I have to say. Combo of Police and Race Safety Motorbikes. They did like this shuttle thing. When one came to an exit as an example where one was waiting (holding traffic) they took their place and then the first bike went on to the next location.

Watched from my daughters house on Beverley Westwood. Loads of police on duty well before the riders appeared and I lost count of the number of police motorbike riders. Good turnout too on the Westwood, but it was all over in a flash, whoosh and they'd ridden past. Beverley itself was buzzing all day though so it's brought some trade and exposure to the area, pity Hull City Council didn't get involved.

ERYCC has done a good job with today and previously with the TDY.

Went on a 4 hour boat cruise on the Yorkshire Belle from Brid to Filey Bay and back. Brilliant day, but not a bike in sight.

Is that thing still floating? It was old when I was a kid 50 years ago. If I remember right the only reason we went on it was so that dad could get a beer when the pubs shut in the afternoon.

Built in 1947. The original Yorkshire Belle was built in 1938 and only had a year before WW2 started .It hit a magnetic mine in the Humber and was lost with all hands.

Restricted where if can go now. The EU a few years ago brought in a law that those type of boats could not be more than 12 miles from a harbour. Which if you go from Brid to Scarborough you never are. But the jobsworths in this country interpreted as you not been able to go beyond 12 miles from your own harbour.

The pirate boat is quite good value at three quid a person, we had a trip on it about two weeks ago.

Door open wide for gits like Rover and Sumatran. :emoticon-0125-mmm:
