United were willing to sell Maguire to West Ham and I don't get the thinking behind the Johnny Evans signing.
I am surprised that United have to rely on those as back up particularly as neither are particularly fast against a very pacey arsenal team.
Varane has a long time injury which left us with Martinez, Lindeloff and Maguire, as it happens Maguire refused to go to Westham but we still needed a cover for Varane which is why Evo came back (he was already with us training anyway).
Ater Lindeloff and Martinez got injured today that decision to give him a contract proved fortunate depending on how bad those injuries are.

He's just back from injury, but you can see the difference that he makes.

The difference, I thought he was going to score sooner than he did, I always thought when you got him he was going to be your best player, although I like Saka as well.

I guess when you’ve got Evans sitting there like some sort of competition winner and a CB gets injured you’re obliged to use him. Could have brought Reguilon on and played Dalot or Bissaka in the middle. Maybe move Casemiro back. All pretty **** options but I’m amazed he’s been signed at all and there’s no one else capable of stepping up.

How many first choice CBs do your team have? when you loose 4 you are quite lucky to have someone as experienced as Evans as a 5th.
Are you real in suggesting you move a full back into the middle against a wide attacking team like Arsenal <doh>

Lucky to have a 35 year old Johnny Evans is something I definitely didn’t expect to be reading in 2023.

So did everyone, if that's off side we may as well all just sack this off.

What happened to this daylight idea they were supposed to be using? Clearly just not bothering.

He was level, that has always been on side.

****ing joke. As was the Spurs handball, as was the Wolves non pen.

Goes both ways and it's all just ****e.
Youre right about rhe daylight thing, thats not happened at all this season in any game ive seen.

But it was offside today

Yeah must feel like a lottery win that.

Just surprised there’s not a young player considered a better option than Father Time.
