Lost a fair few first team players through transfers havent they? Don’t massively follow Scottish football. Sure he’ll find another job soon enough
After getting beat in a Euro qualifier by an Andorran team, it was always on the cards if they didn't do well at the start. They've lost all three games in the league and been humped 5-0 of Villa in mid week. He'd have been lucky yo make it to next weekend
He pretty much fell out with every player so it was never going to end well for him I thought he might make it to the international break but guess not
If you take the hypothesis and quadruple it by the diameter of the offence and divide it by the magnitude of wing play across the middle it was inevitable
Writing been on the wall for him for a while I think there. I thought going there was a bad move as what could he realistically achieve that would enhance his record. Might be a while before he gets back in now I think.
See the ‘Methven buys Charlton’ thread for more details, but we have tonight sacked Dean Holden after 6 games. LJ rumoured to be lined up to replace him. Makes sense with the Sunderland connection.
Yes. He was injured in a pre-season friendly by a lump of a semi-pro defender who plays for Welling , so hasn’t played since. He’s just started training again so expected back late September if all goes well. I’d imagine he’d be one of our youngsters who is put up for sale come January/Next summer in order to balance the regime’s books, so keep your eyes out for him in the great Charlton giveaway. He’ll go to a PL club or upper Championship club so hopefully that will include you again by then.
don't know if he has altered 'his style' but he did have the team playing basically all out attacking, unfortunately could not set them up to defend, we were warned of his streaks and that is exactly what happened.
