Brilliant that we rode out a tough patch. 7 points, 2 clean sheets and 6 goals scored in 3 games. Biggest difference for me (other than the obvious style of play ) is the defending from higher up the pitch led by the attacking 3. We are a pleasure to watch COYS
Chatting **** in the post-match punditry. Who decided to invite the bellend? Played for **** clubs that hate us and is nearly as bad as Owen.
Very good in terrible conditions. Hope Destiny is okay. Can’t think why he went down clutching his face.
A couple of extra additions to provide us some strength to the first team, competition for places, and a stronger bench, and we could have a much better season than anyone expected. It’s exciting stuff. COYS
I think he was more covering his face as looked like in real pain. Saw him walk on at the end though so hopefully not to bad.
Well, another positive performance and result - even with a misfiring forward line. Think Vic had one save to make all game and the defence looked really solid - helped by that MF in front of them. Biss, Madders and Destiny my standouts,
And we committed 10 fouls and got 3 yellows. The elbow in the face from Solanke being missed by VAR was just nonsense, though. Mike Dean?
Can't believe no one's commented on Ange's appearance in the studio. Absolutely love this guy! Seriously, he's the new Poch, but with a cooler accent! Like the chants said, we've got our Tottenham back.
Seriously @Spurf how do you even know about stuff like this?! Anyway, it's now thundering in Highbury, so hopefully all the gooners will be getting pissed wet through!
Happy with that performance and result. Still not perfect but so much improvement from last season. Whilst our defence looks considerably improved thanks to the additions of Micky and Udogie (and Vicario in fairness), our midfield is ****ing superb. Maddison is already the early contender for signing of the season and the confidence Bissouma has been given to be replicate his Brighton form makes such a huge difference. He was one of the best CMs in the league at Brighton when we signed him and he’s becoming as such again. It’s only our front line that’s letting us down, in particular one of them and it doesn’t even come as surprise. We cannot afford to end this window without a new first choice striker, Ange is already delivering so much promise, give him a striker who can actually impact games and we’re gonna be a real ****ing problem this season.
