We signed 1 central defender since VVD (Konate, not including the joke signings of Kabak and Davies).

Sure, it's all down to luck.

    Pathetic squad management.

    Pathetic is the word.

We are not a serious club, serious clubs invest into the squad every season.

We pansy about and come up short every time.

    Fukin bored of it tbh

We may be a joke, but at least we're not the punchline. Everton is the punchline. <ok>

Well... I the other punchline is Chelsea. Spend £1billion and be worse than you started. Or Spurs... How much have they spent since their last trophy? Spent in time and money. Or United. World on a platter and now it's all **** and a splatter.

Other clubs have problems too. We're all a joke in one way or another.

If we don't get anyone else in this window, we can hardly blame FSG. They were ready to stump up £100+m which shows the money is there for the right player. It will be on the scouting and acquisition team, or whatever it's called these days who will have failed.

I still believe that Klopp is possibly at the centre of the inactivity with his desire for only going after his first choice. Still a week to go. I'd like a few good surprises.

No, although I am annoyed we haven't even appeared to look at rectifying cover for right fullback. Although, that's only based on what we know. Who knows what goes on that hasn't been covered in the media.

It wasn't the right player though! We walked away from Bellingham when it got to £80m, but were prepared to pay £111m for a plodder worth £40m at most. Bizarre.

Well Klopp thought it was and was backed by the owners on his say so. The point being, the money was made available which is what fans have been asking for.

Bellingham wanted ridiculous wages and he walked away from us, not the other way round. The transfer fee is only half of the equation.
