You take the money. If a team can't manage without one player then you have problems, especially an aging player. If he was injured the club would have to deal with it, that's my logic with it.

Players move on mate thats just the cycle of football, whats important is that hes got years on his contract so a big fee will be expected

Using Luv's example of £250 Million, in my view no player in the world is worth that money, so I don't see how taking a 31 year old fooks over their fans tbph. Supporters seem to have an obsession with 'favourites.' There is loads of talent out there in the world, if only we looked a little closer instead of playing this ridiculous monopoly game. If the Arabs want to throw tons of cash around, it don't bother me because it will not make me anymore interested in their game. If I want to see a load of oldies go kick a football around I can go watch a celebrity 11 for that in a charity match.

If I were Liverpool, I'd snap their hands off for £100m for a 31 year old, that's just signed a massive contract for insane money.

Replace with a couple of younger players, for a smaller combined wage.

100 million for him is over the odds at 31 imo ... Liverpool should be delighted.
