He has surpassed himself with his comments on racism or the lack of it according to him,,what a cock and this man is fronting football worldwide,am almost lost for words
He will never willingly remove himself from his position of power, but how can he be taken seriously in the game with views or comments like this. Shows once again how out of touch with the real world he is.
Given his previous ridiculous statements :- 1) female footballers should look more feminine and wear tighter clothes 2) homosexuals visiting qatar (where homosexuality is illegal and punishable by death) for 2022 shoul refrain from sexual activity during th world cup 3) setting up an inquiry into corruption in FIFA headed up by an opera singer I guess noone should be surprised by Blatter being unable to see racism in football. However, he will never resign, and by pushing money into all of the remote parts of the world in order to secure votes for him, he is near bomb proof (something we should put to the test).
I did have a chuckle at his comments what a complete nob. How can a racist comment made off the field be any different to one made on the field. Its still a racist comment! Don't know he gets away with some of the **** that comes out of his mouth.
The one good thing that I hope comes from all this is bringing the issue back to the forefront of people's minds, reinforcing a zero tolerance approach to racism and, possibly most importantly in my mind, making it absolutely clear to young people who learn about our society from what happens at football matches that discrimination of any kind isn't acceptable. Sport has the ability to, and more often than not does, set a really good example to people across the world that people from all backgrounds can come and play together as a team in which discrimination has no part whatsoever.
So football is headed up by a sexist, racist homophobe who couldn't organise the proverbial in a brewery. Nice. For years I have been telling my non-football friends (I do have some, honest) that the game is totally different to the bad old days and then this guy pops up. I can either choose to give up reading Sepp Blatter or stop being a football fan. That's a no-brainer, then!
