Just saying we could if we wanted to - and as I say, we have Mo up our sleeve for latter windows and the Arabs jizzing for him. We have lots and lots of room for manoeuvre - Chelsea don't. We just need JH to start taking things as personally as Boehly - he did over Suarez to Arsenal and Coutinho in the summer of 2017.

Everyone does, we buy the kids hoping they'll make it to the first team.

The only difference is Brighton have an easier entry to the first team out of necessity. So they're exposed to the higher standard more often.

They've also bought some duds, like Undav. But when you're not spending that much on these players, people will only point to the successes.

You keep blaming JH but I don't think it's him, I think it's just the way we operate. Klopp is on record as saying he's not keen on just spend spend spend and previously said he wouldn't join a "money club"

They're drawing a pretty pencil-crayon picture to include with the bid... Caicedo and Poch stick figures running hand in hand through a flowering meadow...

... They're trying to make the picture look pretty before submitting the bid. A good stick figure drawing takes a.long time.

    Why would they?

No one else goes round debuting everything about them online.

Not buying it. There's no smiley sun in the corner and no sacks of cash with naked ladies coming out.

Why has the "white player" got black legs?

Also, who is the white player and is the black player Caicedo or Lavia?

It's Poch, and he's wearing socks. Also apparently gloves... Either that or his hands are burnt. The player is clearly Caicedo since it's a bid for Caicedo. A lot of love was put into that picture by Boehly.

    Maybe they're running the three-legged race.together. <laugh>

Clearly, it is discrepancies like this why Brighton hasn't accepted their bid.

How long is Caicedo's right arm? He should play in net!

not too sure about Klopp's choice of starting XI there.
Weren't we saying the other day your best chance to beat us is to overload midfield to stifle out possession and protect your weak defence?
Klopp seems to have picked a back four and six forwards?!
This is going to be a high scoring game

Football finance reporter Mo Chatra took to social media to report: ‘any punishment relating to losses relative to the PSR Calculation in excess of £105m would be implemented THIS season’.
This came off the back of a long update on the London club’s financial standings, in which it was reported that: ‘they are many £10s of millions short of break even under PL P&S in 23/24 even if they managed to just about comply in 22/23 (which I’m skeptical about too)’.
It all boils down to the understanding that Todd Boehly can only spend a maximum of £105 million in this window and after reportedly pulling out of a move for Tyler Adams and agreeing a move for Romeo Lavia – it seems there are still irons in other fires for alternative signings this summer.
Therefore, the idea that the Londoners can afford the Ecuadorian that has caused so many headlines on top of other possible deals – is surely impossible.
That is of course unless the eccentric American owner is ready and willing to accept a points deduction in order to beat Jurgen Klopp to the signature of the 21-year-old.
In truth, it seems everyone is confused at the current standing but the longer that the Reds leave their offer on the table – the more embarrassing it will get for Mauricio Pochettino’s side as they seemingly can’t afford to match us.
If the Seagulls don’t want any of the players that are being offered to try and sweeten the deal then it all comes down to Chelsea taking a points deduction or walking away from signing a record-breaking midfielder.
Both options have obvious consequences and for now, we must play the waiting game.

Our attack will all come back to help in midfield. Expecting very fluid positioning.

    505 mate.

We practiced by asking a no hoper German side to "play like chelsea"

We scored 2 then got caught with a suckered punch as trent went a wandering.
