Nobody will be happier then me if all this turns out to be rubbish and he absolutely smashes it and turns us into a free flowing, attacking and attractive team to watch and see us climb the league

I'm going to KTF in LR right up to the first home game of the season if you don't mind.

Have to agree with Howden. Some odd comments there. Particularly about them not being afraid to improvise and adapt in games. Why would he need to say that unless he’s coached them to play in a very prescriptive way? And why is he now saying it now when he’s had all summer and a full pre-season with most of this squad? It gives the impression that the players and coaching staff aren’t on the same wavelength and that we’re unprepared, which absolute should not be the case.

This isn’t me nitpicking either. If he had just said after the Donny game ‘we didn’t play well at all, we are definitely better than this and I fully expect us to give a good response next game’ and left it at that, that’s fine. These comments raise more questions than give answers.

    Sometimes saying nothing is better.

Oh I believe you that somethings not right - it's just whether it can be put right - but there's always going to be dissent in a camp, especially when experienced players don't get a look in and 18 year old from Stockport get the nod instead, or a LB is dropped for a centre half, or existing wingers and attacking midfielders when their positions are strengthened etc.

    Just a reminder
The main issue wasn't the result on Tuesday, nor us going out of the cup, it was the performance, the ridiculousness of what was unfolding and also the fact that Rosenior and his staff did next to **** all about it.

Don't see what he could do during the game other than give the bench instruction from up in the stands.

We've also never seen that kind of performance with no movement or endeavour under him before.

But its not his job to fix it..."It cannot be me or the coaches at half-time because 45 minutes have gone"

So if something happens unexpected or goes awry in the first half then the players simply should take initiative not wait until half time for him to 'fix it' because half the game really is half way gone by then.

That is what he was saying, not that he abdicates responsibility as you are seemingly desperate to suggest he was.

Tomorrow up and down the country, here will be 92 coaches and managers barking instructions from minute 1. Initiative...?... if he had set them up correctly, stressed the importance of the game, not only for the competition, but for revenue and giving other players a chance. Then when it was going tits at half time, did anything change... NO!!!... did his coaches make things happen...? If you dont get it, god help you...

Depends if he's banned or not and allowed in the dressing room.

But he's pretty animated usually on the touchline so I assume he'd be the same when allowed in the dressing room.

Some of the vloggers commented how quiet the bench was with him not there.

There's plenty to genuinely criticise after Donny without clutching at some sort of manufactured outrage based on semantics.

Rosenior comes out and says to blame him for the performances, something everyone's been happy to do all week, but because he's now said it everyone's having a pop at him and saying they'll boo the players if they want. <laugh>

I think you’ve inadvertently hit the nail on the head with your first comment about 92 managers shouting instructions from the first minute, as that was the first time LR hadn’t been on the touch line and that may well have been a major factor in how the game panned out. That seems to be what he’s referring to when he’s suggesting that the players need to take more accountability during the game.
Perhaps he’s realised that he’s put so much work into getting the players to perform in a certain way that they’ve lost the ability to think for themselves when necessary.

It doesn't matter why you boo, or whether it's technically booing or just sparkling jeers. Whilst the game is on, if you're giving our players any sort of grief, you are making us less likely to win that match. The angry screaming when Ingram has got the ball, or if we give it away at times, is the worst kind. Worse than actively booing at full time, because you're throwing pressure at our players whilst they're trying to perform.

I know I said this on the other thread but I make no apology for it. It's important. Crowds who back their team win more home games. Crowds who week after week get more and more wound up at their team lose home games. It doesn't matter how justified you think it is, or what the details of the tactical situation is. Discuss that on here if you like, but screaming it at the players will only ever make it worse.

Can’t wait for the North stand to erupt into a loud rendition of “we’ll boo who we want” tomorrow.

How does he know who people are booing?
Should we have a different style of boo for him so that the players know it's not for them?

I suspect booing as Ingram is on the ball is probably not directed at Rosenior. He's provably referring to that sort of thing.
