The FA has today charged Liverpool’s Luis Suarez following an incident that occurred during the Liverpool versus Manchester United fixture at Anfield on 15 October 2011.

It is alleged that Suarez used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Manchester United’s Patrice Evra contrary to FA rules.

It is further alleged that this included a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Patrice Evra.

The FA will issue no further comment at this time.

Doesn't mean he's been racist, just means he'll have to have a hearing. He'll plead not guilty and everything will be all right, because the French **** has no proof, because it didn't even happen.

This whole thing is going to get very very messy and may well end up in the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

But will the French **** be punished if/when Suarez is found not guilty?

The thing is with Liverpool fans is.... Suarez didnt say anything it wont go anywhere..Suarez charged.
Now Suarez is charged he didnt say anything racist at all its Evra's fault how is it someone else's fault if Suarez did it.
They must have something if the FA have charged him and if they do Liverpool fans with have some very big eggs on their faces. Just a thought.

As the FA believe that there is a case to answer then Evra is off the hook. However, if Suarez is successful in his hearing then he has an even stronger basis for any civil action against Evra for slander.

**** off Darlo. NOTHING in the FA's explanation indicates that the so called "abuse" was racism. Please re-read the FA's statement on the charge before you get egg on your face. Prat.

It's apparent that members of the Football Association know FA (how fitting) about human psychology. It's common knowledge that the one who cries racism all the time (Patrice Evra) is the real racist.

Suarez may well be not guilty but you lot calling Patrice a "french ****". Oh the irony.

Well would the FA have charged Suarez if there had'nt have been a complaint from Evra?,the answer is no so that means they've found, heard or looked at 'evidence' and proceeded to charge him.

It's wrong that should Suarez get found not guilty his accuser does'nt get punished.

If Suarez is found guilty and accepts it without appeal his career is ****ed.

Why is it ironic? Its not ironic at all, unless you have no idea what irony is.

Ohh strong words but then again thats a typical reaction from you isnt it, read all of the statement first then you wouldnt just have put egg on your face just like what you have done just then. :D

Here's what i want to know:

1) Did any other player come out and state that he heard the discussion going on between Suarez and Evra?
2) What evidence is being used to justify the charge?
3) Why is Suarez being charged when John Terry was caught up close and personal doing it and yet gets away with it?

<doh>

You obviously have very little legal knowledge or understanding. All that the FA needed to do was satisfy themselves that there was a case to answer. The charge is, as yet, unproven and the process that will be entered into is designed to arrive at a conclusion. Whatever evidence the FA have used to arrive at the conclusion that there is a case to answer now has to be tested.
