Yeah mate, I'm not talking about his short stuff. He did OK there. On the occasions he had to go long he pretty much scuffed every one of them first half.

Signing a player who was 3rd choice behind Nick Pope who's pretty poor with his feet I'd suggest my expectations were more realistic.

What did you make of Hjeldes treatment after about 5 minutes? Moans and groans every time he went back inside to Ampadu?
When others did it there was no reaction. Jay Roy Grot all over again. They are just kids.
It's not unrealistic for a keeper to be able to clear the ball to the half way line. Accringtons keeper can do it every time.
It's been like that for years now as certain players get free passes and others get the moans the first misplaced pass they do. Don't like it personally but it's here to stay as fans behave differently now.
It's getting way too much though when it's just for retaining possession and we've only played 20/30 mins.
Maybe give Darlow a little bit more time and opportunity to impress before picking his game apart shall we ?

You said Gyabi was **** 1st half. Maybe give the kid a 2nd chance. He never got the opportunity to turn it around 2nd half.

If we had Kieffer Moore he would have outscored Bamford the last two seasons when we've struggled.
Personally I'd like to see Gyabi given a chance in a different role.

In all seriousness Toby Savin will end up playing higher than league 2.
22 years old. 6ft 4. Good shot stopper and can hoof the ball the length of the pitch. Must have played some serious games by now as he's been playing for Accrington for a while. Good prospect.
I would sell Meslier and get him in to fight it out with Darlow. Meslier is far too quiet and doesn't command his area.
Any criticism of Leo Hjelde is unjustified as he’s playing out of position at left back. And he’s playing out of position at left back because we haven’t bothered signing a decent one for years.
The last ‘proper’ left back we had was Leif Davis who is highly thought of at Ipswich.
Baffling state of affairs. But until we see Hjelde in his proper position of LCB he shouldn’t be criticised. He’s a young centre half filling in at left back because of the club’s ineptitude in the transfer market.

He's a kid and the moans and groans just forced him further in to his shell last night.
He's just not at the level required. He might never be right for us but he's trying.
