i aren’t sure how we land on Acun being at fault here yet Rosie gets a free pass when he’s the gaffer who has said multiple times this is HIS way of playing.

I think most of us would agree with him. We also want to see attacking, entertaining football with plenty of goals. That will more than likely fill the stadium with happy supporters. The problem is he hasnt hired the right people to do this. It really isnt that difficult is it, you bring in a manager that ticks the boxes of the things you want. He had the right idea with someone like Pedro Martens. Once that didnt work out, we should have gone down the list to the next manager who can do what he wants, instead he went from Pedro to Liam, a guy with very little previous experience and if he never had connections to our club, wouldnt have got the job.

Lets face it, both managerial appointments Acun has made have been crap. No one else to blame but himself.

Is there a distinction to be made between playing it out from the back and playing it around at the back. Most teams play out from the back these days which is fine for me, is it that people have a problem with playing it around the back, lots of sideways and backwards passes etc and not so much beginning play at the back?

    It's not concerning,it's conjecture...

I'm slightly suspicious that there's more going on here than meets the eye but I've got no evidence to support that.Hopefully he's giving Rosenior full say on transfers, tactics et al.

If not,we're on a slippier slope than we think but I firmly believe that the rumours and conjecture are unnecessarily adding to the woe we already have and we're going way off track in terms of how this is going to get sorted.

Rosenior has a monumental task and monumental decisions to make this morning in how to approach last-nights debacle. If he goes in too hard he runs the risk of a revolt, too soft and he's a laughing stock...
I wouldn't want his job this morning!!!

That's assuming Acun actually knows how to implement good tactics. As has quite rightly been observed, both Shota and Rosenior are playing out from the back.

    Exactly
Why risk mistakes by having the goalkeeper playing the ball in front of goal hoping the receiving player can pass the ball to somebody on the wing rather than passing directly to somebody on the wing?
There's less chance of conceding a goal if the ball is lost by somebody on the wing than how we conceded our first goal last night

I disagree. the wife has had various Range Rover models over the last 15 years…..never had a problem until the last velar. Engine went pop, cylinders imploded after 8k miles. Thankfully was still under warranty otherwise it would have been a 25k repair bill.
Got rid after the repair, we have now got an Audi RSQ, awesome car

Sorry I wasn't inferring that Acun is dictating tactics. I think he wants entertaining football and thats fine. However, rumours are surfacing of player unhappiness and Acun I can imagine isn't exactly being entertained by recent performances

Really though, how is this squad better than last season?

Delap and Vinagre look early upgrades but we don’t know yet.

    Lokilo maybe but who knows.

Nothing else has been improved yet. I do think we should wait a bit before we decide it’s all rubbish.

…but if he wanted attacking football why did he appoint Rosenior. Derby’s style under Liam was along the lines of what we are seeing now.

Rosenior is also not daft enough to know he needs to find a way for us to be more dynamic in possession. It’s all well and good keeping the ball to bring the opposition on to us - but when they sit in he needs a different option.

The problem he has is that we don’t currently have the creativity to unlock defences that sit in. See Huddersfield, Blackpool and Sunderland (when down to 10) at home last season.

Rosenior has said he’s wanted to be a manager since age 10 or whatever. I imagine these tactics have been precisely formed over that period and being the tactical genius he is they can’t fail if persisted with enough. I urge the fans to have patience even when we’re dogshit to watch and the players don’t have a clue what they’re meant to be doing.

So, it's the fans fault. I also don't agree with booing the players, but come on, I've literally never seen anything like what was happening last night. The 'philosophy' that isn't working was taken to a whole new level of embarrassing last night. Last night wasn't a one off, just the same but at a whole new level. I get it that fans were so frustrated that some boo. It was beyond ridiculous. Fans of other clubs would piss themselves laughing it was so comical (for them). Of course many are gong to boo. They are rightly pissed off. .

Then, it's that some players have downed tools because they're lazy ****ers. Yeah, right. It's self evident that some are just confused by, don't buy into or aren't capable of what is being asked of them (likely a mix). It's also very easy to see that some players are likely by now thinking they've had enough of the 'philosophy', arrogance, naivity and stubborness. Yes, that's a guess but I'd put money on it now.

Then, it's Acun's fault for meddling in how we play. FFS. How we have been playing is the anti-thesis of what he wants to see. He must be absolutely fuming about last night's debacle.

Rosenior needs to look no further than the nearest mirror. He needs to sort his **** out quickly or he's gone.

Ingram for me is not the answer. He never catches a ball direct from a corner which for a professional keeper is worrying. The defence looked much better with Darlow between the sticks but sadly that ship has sailed. The style of play has not improved and if anything has got worse. I worry about the fans reaction at 5pm on Saturday unless there is a huge improvement.

That was blindly obvious by all accounts, I can see what they are trying to do to attract players to press then pass through the press, but when none of the opposition is pressing and man marking then you need to do something different. Liam said himself in his post match presser, player need to take decision themselves on the pitch sometimes, but last night for whatever reason they just kept doing the same thing.

With regards the Ingram thing - I’ve seen clips of Onana with the ball and he keeps hold of it - gradually moving further forward. Eventually the attackers close him down and the break from the press begins. Ingram was trying this last night but it looked like both him and the team didn’t know what to do when Doncaster refused to even press the keeper.
