Poor Ingram. He’s clearly been told to do that by the coaching staff in the hope that the opposition press us and leave pockets of space for us to receive the ball and pass out from the back. However, Donny are just man-marking our players so they’re not leaving those pockets of space. I can’t believe we’ve been tactically bamboozled by Grant McCann of all people.
Tbf when Terry was in charge we castigated him for having one style, the old quote, if plan A doesn't work make it better, unfortunately LR is showing similar traits, he has a style he wants to play, but whether the players aren't buying into it, confused by it, or just not comfortable with it remains to be seen, ultimately its down to the manager to get the squad he has got playing in a style that suits them. The buck stops there.

You’re right. Can’t expect us to play well against Norwich as they’ve got parachute payments, that’s just too entitled. I can’t believe people are moaning that we’re not playing well against the mighty Doncaster Rovers either.
Some of our fans are so entitled. I for one love to see Matty Ingram with the ball at his feet for several minutes with nobody to pass to. The beautiful game.
