Chair, Willock and Richards are unplayable according to GA, so he drops 2 of the 3. Armstrong will murder this league if we have the creativity get them all on the pitch and help Sinclair reach his potential
I tried to find our game on ESPN and was going to re-activate my expired account to view, glad I didn't now! Instead I found "The Four Year Plan" which I watched with my partner, funnily enough opening with GA in a caretaker manager role, then continuing as an assistant. When I eventually got to our game, just before HT, couldn't believe we had capitulated and were already 4-0 down. I note no more goals in the 2nd half, did we improve, or did Watford just feel sorry for us and apply the "mercy" rule?
Hey Ziegfried, Speaka da englishie, please-arie. We're steak and three veg people, not fraulein's apple strudel! please log in to view this image
Hey, we set up so we are hard to beat. They are his tactics ! He expects us to be beaten, we just have to make it more difficult for the opposition.
I'm really intrigued as to what 'traps' Ainsworth was implementing yesterday. Never, ever in 24 years of coaching have I come across this term. It's complete and utter nonsense coming out of his mouth. I wish the interviewer would ask him what these 'traps' are. Worst of all is the claim that the players gave everything.!!! So if they can't give a single ounce more, then surely your tactics are way off the mark Gareth. This guy is so out of his depth. All he has in his locker is luck to rely on as seen against Burnley last season.
Can you blame them? I think another disaster at Cardiff and Gazza will be gone. He's probably fortunate the Norwich Cup tie has been put back a week, I don't think another pasting at home would have had a happy ending...
You boys need a good haka and a classy belt buckle. C’mon get on the wild thing bus boys. It’s got a wobbly wheel, a flat tire, spluttering engine, the drivers smoking smelly cigarettes and the conductor is playing his guitar at the back for a jolly upbeat sing-a-long. Everyone is doing great.
Ainsworth is a joke but professional footballers can be reasonably expected to show a basic level of pride and commitment to the club paying them. It is his fault that Chair got none of the ball and was stuck left wing. It’s his fault we aimlessly punted the ball towards Dykes with no one near him and that the defence could barely get in a line let alone stop a very basic chip over the top. But it’s not his fault that some of the more competent players in this squad very clearly don’t give a ****. Willock and Richards mooched along the touchline all game with faces liked smacked arses and Willock was visibly pissed off at being asked to do his job. Paal’s basic positioning and efforts at tracking back were Sunday league. 50-50s lost constantly. There’s a lack of ability in this club for sure but there’s a complete lack of bollocks.
Another three year contract paid off? It was stupid to give him that long - said so at the time. This was never going to end well. Biggest problem will be finding someone who is cheap, available and willing to take on the biggest challenge of their career with no funds to back them up....you up for it @bobmid ?
What happened to the days of having pride in yourself and doing your days work. What your describing is a complete train crash of inability meets incapacity (to do what is reasonably expected of you in your professional role).
Apparently some people stayed behind to applaud them off as they did at Blackpool. We’re a very easy group of supporters to please. We’ve all seen 5-0s at Southend, 7-1s at West Brom etc. We don’t care Kakay is mediocre because he clearly appreciates the chance even if in reality he’s L1 at best. Dozzell, Willock, Richards can **** off forever. If we’re going to go down with about 12 points I’d rather give the kids a go.
