Don’t need to be sorry :emoticon-0116-evilg Easy mistake to make. Fingers crossed though we are working on 2 more. A great partner for Botman and Chiesa

I won't lie there's a part of me really hoping for a surprise like that, but I just don't think Newcastle are in the position for such a signing.

If they sign a cb and a left back the squad really will have all the foundations to start adding such players in the coming years though.

I can’t see us getting a left back sadly

The anti-Wood bandwagon collapsed ages ago tbh.

Simple fact is we were losing every game before he came along, and rarely lost when he was playing. He did get a complete of vital goals, but the key role he played was being a target man and taking defenders out of the picture, for other players to have space and score. With Wilson always injured, Bruce was resorting to playing the likes of ASM, Joelinton and Willock up front and all out of position and it was an utter mess.

That and the fact it basically relegated Burnley the moment we signed him and guaranteed our survival.

It's not even a debate, he was a major part of our transformation and I honestly think we'd have gone down without him (basically we'd have been playing Dwight Gayle up front instead or Joelinton up front and Henrick alongside Shelvey in the middle). For £5-10m to stay up is just a total no brainer, not sure what it says about some of our fans that they question it still.

Haha another episode from the ****

The guy is human at the end of the day, although he has become a major whinger in recent years he still overall comes across as a decent enough person and I like him. I'm assuming the fans were adults.

If he’d spoke to my kid like that he’d be booking another appointment in turkey for his teeth

Palace have had an offer accepted for a centre back.
Maybe we’re getting Anderson?
Andersen is a name that keeps coming up. He's not particularly pacey though... Looking at the money we are willing to spend on promising English players - Gordon, Barnes, Livramento, wishful thinking that we might push the boat out for Guehi instead...

Private flight came in for Munich and itk’s spouting Upmecano’s name

Am happy with either Guehi or Upmecano

I had forgotten Dwight Gayle was there as an "option".

Apparently a poacher and got 1 goal in 29 games in his last 2 seasons with us; and unlike Wood, did nothing for the players around him.

Thankfully one of the first names phased out under Howe.
