Worcester this evening. You never know who you will bump into, the place is full of dodgy characters at the best of times.

In the (18:00) at Worcester, a Class-5 Handicap Chase over 2m4f, will take a chance with Sinister Minister who certainly has a squeak. Distance and ground conditions should be OK. Sean Houlihan rides for the Sheila Lewis yard.

7/1 (Wm.Hill/Unibet) best price at time of writing. E/W probably best option?

Good effort to finish second, but the bottom weight and Harry Cobden had too much for Sinister Minister right at the finish. The e/w showed a small profit, so no complaints!

Not a bad chase debut from Sharjah at Galway there - easily accounted for the highly experienced and 131-rated Mars Harper. You'd expect him to do so, but encouraging that he jumped well and was a comfortable winner. Already 10 years old but entirely possible he could follow in Faugheen's footsteps. 20/1 for the Turners / Golden Miller Novices Chase.

A certain forum legend (legend does mean old doesn’t it?) was at Worcester last night, and it was lovely to catch up with them.

Personally it was a very nice evening punting wise, so much so that I purchased a round of drinks!

Wow! Such largesse! I’d better get down to Worcester for the next meeting and seek out this generous ‘ dodgy character.’ <laugh>

I’ve done my duties this year at Worcester, I won’t be going again unless I’ve got a runner!

That said, if you ever want a pint at the races, I’d be more than happy to find someone to pay for one!
