The police and CPS have been satisfied, the Club have been satisfied, the Sponsors have been satisfied but brb has seen some pics on the internet and knows all the facts
Both the CPS and Police assess the possibilities of gaining a conviction... not purely whether they think the individual is actually guilty ... or not .. before pursuing a prosecution.
In this case it is entirely unlikely that a conviction would result without an accusatory testimony from the girl involved ... a girl who has now secured a comfortable future for herself and her baby ... but the footage remains... and is pretty damning.
Would Mr Greenwood now be 'happily settled down and a doting father and husband' in any other circumstances than saving himself from a stretch at His Majesty's pleasure? ... I have severe doubts ... but hey ho ... he reaps what he sewed ... but the chances of any footie fans other than United fans buying his explanation / excuses on the back of that footage are slim ... if not non-existent ...
