Also praying for Mr Grusch that he didn't meet with an accident between stating he could provide list of names of every individual involved and meeting with the Chair afterwards to provide said names

One of two things is happening.
1) there are no aliens.
2) there is a cover up.
Either way, the outcome of the hearings will either be inconclusive or say there is no cover up.
If there really were aliens and they've been hiding it from the public, they're not going to admit it. I find the whole thing kind of pointless.
I wouldn't say it's pointless.
These things are rarely explosive and won't suddenly reveal all. It usually takes a series of steps before things are fully exposed and I'd say these hearings are a big step towards that because once this is done (and if there's shown to be real credible evidence even without the smoking gun) they won't be able to put the genie back in the bottle... and then it's only going one way.
I personally don't think there is a cover up (or if there is, it's because it's military tech, not aliens)... but giving the conspiracy theory the benefit of the doubt... if there are aliens and there is a cover up, that cover up must run very deep and be very important to certain strong powers (it wouldn't be cheap to cover up something like this).
If there is a coverup of that magnitude, I can't believe those responsible would allow anything to come out in the open. If they've been able to cover it up this well for this long, it should be easy for them to cover up when they know who is presenting and what they're presenting ahead of time. They know where the threat to their cover-up is coming from. They also have to be fairly confident that nothing will come of the hearing, or they wouldn't have allowed it to progress.
I'm a sceptic with an open mind so I'll consider all possibilities with these hearings.
The way I see it is that it may not be a cover up. The other possibility is it's a deliberate diversion and these folk are being played. What if it is secret tech developed by the U.S. and they don't want it to be taken seriously - what better way than having some marlborough men feeding stories about alien influencers to military bods to whistleblow.
So it could be anything... or nothing.

Anyway how come we don't hear sonic booms from UFO's, argument could be they are designed or have technology to stop that, but then you would have to assume they either come from a planet with an atmosphere like ours or know of its effects before coming here. Then it raises the questions of what happens if you break the speed of light.
