Why do these lazy twats need lunch and tea breaks if they've hardly played? if it's looking obvious that the weather is ****, then just adjust the times and have your 'break' when there's no chance of any play. Not "oh look the sun's finally out, but I'm rather peckish now".

That's not correct. Save for one day games it would mean the game was drawn. If its a one day game other factors apply such as number of overs bowled, duckworth Lewis rules etc.
At the top level i mean, you won't get a major being cut to 3 rounds instead of 4 for example, maybe way back when but not these days.
Fair enough, but that's not what I was replying to. He said it's about "where weather can determine an outcome". In which case I've seen goalkeepers score own goals because of very strong winds that have determined the match result. But yeah, if you're saying a result can be partially determined by rain, then I get it.
