I know I’m 27 miles away from Old Trafford but it’s just started absolutely pissing down again here.

Hopefully it misses the ground. Not that the ball is doing anything.................

Looks like a long slog this. Pitch utterly dead. Jimmy accurate but posing no threat at all. Even Woody is being handled pretty comfortably.

Need a mistake here.

Bloody drinks breaks when they've only been on the field over an hour.

I'd agree if it was +20 degrees and they've been on the field since 11am.
There is a drinks break in every test match halfway through each session. You can't just change the rules because you want them to bowl more overs

I feel it should be tinkered to the conditions of the match.

Surely getting a result should be the priority.

So who then decides whether a drinks break is required? These are the nuances of the game. Same as the weather and the overhead conditions change the game in the favour of the bowlers/batters. The timings of breaks etc change it in favour of the side playing for the draw etc

Play through until lunch.

Surely grown men can play for over 2 hours without requiring a drink.
If you had have complained about this when we were smashing them all over the park, I’d say fair enough…

It does seem like you now want the rules changed because we are going for the victory and time isn’t really on our side.

But the drinks break is a rule. And why on earth would Australia agree to not having it?

Eerr make it the umpires call like they do with a change of ball. I feel it's such an unnecessary delay when they've already missed nearly 4hrs of cricket today.

Like I said before, the number one priority should be about getting a result.

It's more about the paying public and people at home getting their money's worth.

But a draw, unfortunately, is a result?
