When did I last call anyone on this board Woke or Globalist? Remainer isn't a term of abuse.

I was trying to show that, as in my original post, this is much bigger than Farage.

On Farage, the facts are slowly being revealed. Coutts sacked him without giving a reason. But under pressure, Nat West offered him an account, and apparently put out a lie through the BBC that he had been de-banked by Coutts due to insufficient funds ( a serious breach of customer confidentiality). However, a Coutts dossier that has come into Farage's hands shows the real reason is that through Brexit etc he does not comply with the bank's Woke code of ethics.

So he was de-banked for his political views, and now there are other bank customers that are coming out and saying the same thing has happened to them. And, as I have said, banks appear to be monitoring the political views of their customers through social media and sacking those that don't comply with the Woke code. This is deeply sinister and goes directly to the right of free speech and the values of this country. We seem to be at the tip of an iceberg here.

Or he just doesn’t deserve yet another day of attention including from the actual Prime Minister when the country is on fire.

You’re a shy UKIPper. It’s fine. We’ve all gotten over it.

Everyone knows the point. It’s been given a ludicrous amount of oxygen and blown up into something enormous when it just isn’t and you’ve been swept along with it like a good little Tory. It’ll happen again now for days and days with all the same people going out to bat for Dan Wootton/Martin Branning. All while there are massive problems in the country forced out of public consciousness. There might just be a reason for that if you think hard enough.

Also we don’t like name-calling here, thank you. It’s very hurtful.

Farage is a tit, but it's got him back in the spotlight which is exactly where he likes to be. Couldn't give a flying **** if he got turned down for a bank account, there's kids starving in our country, millions living in poverty whilst the people in power cream our tax paying money. Maybe some have their outrage focused on the wrong thing

Completely agree about the state of the country. I said many months ago that the Tories weren't fit to govern and I still have that opinion. Not sure there's much alternative mind, meaning I may not vote or I'll find an independent to give my vote to.
I do think the Farage case is important. Whilst I agree that he's trying to get maximum publicity out of it as usual, there is something deeply concerning about a state owned bank holding a dossier on someone's views to decide whether they can have an account or not.
    Slippery slope imo.

I think they have always done it. I've personally been turned down for a bank account during COVID. Don't know the reasons, nor do I really care. The media have bamboozled everyone on this non story. Reporting untruths with maximum airtime and then reporting truths with maximum airtime. The PPE fraud scandal which has cost us billions has had about a millionth of the air time as some stupid old twat who got refused a bank account.

They were cancelling people's accounts in the early thirties in Germany Bob.
I don't disagree with the rest of that.

Those are the terms that Farage bizarrely used to describe Coutts and you supported him.

I wouldn't know mate as I don't know any Germans from the early thirties. Nor do I give a **** and in reality I don't actually think anyone barring Farage does. It just gets him in the headlines which is absolutely perfect for him. Has he a book out or is he setting up a new party? Cos this non story seems like he will attract a few new members.

Why were you turned down for another bank account Bob
    We demand to know
Was it a Coutts account or are you wanting to hide your plastering profits from the taxman in the Caymans

It was to do with the 'bounce back loans'. I got refused by two banks but accepted by others. Think it was over which footy team I follow.
