    Humdinger:
Etymology. US origin, perhaps a blend of hummer (“something that moves fast”) +‎ dinger (“something outstanding”).
First attested in a newspaper article in the Daily Enterprise of June 4, 1883,

Trev clearly kept hold of that particular copy.

Has the potential to be good. I do have a mild concern we will try to get 150 in 10 overs and be all out with lead of 100, or even worse just declare at that point. Then there is the definite potential of Australia setting us 200 to win which we end up having 20 minute snippets between rain breaks to have to try and get at 7 an over (where we'd surely lose). The plan has to be to get to 175+ pre-lunch in an aggressive but not insane manner, if the pitch makes that difficult today that's good news :)

Hopefully the rain saves Australia for once so they know how it feels.

If we ignore the numerous times Australia have benefitted from rain in recent years then this is a good point. It's OK though we know you're here for the wum rather than the cricket.

Of course it's allowed, it's also entirely expected. Support the opposition, wum a bit, if Oz win make lots of comments, if England win disappear. Predictable but absolutely allowed.

Currently more bothered by Durham, almost out if sight but not quite.

26 mins to lunch, I can't see us wanting to bat much past that at all. Why aren't we going full on smash, bang, wallop yet.

Lol, as I type that Brook gets out.

    C’mon England.

Take advantage of the break in the bad weather.

If it was just a normal two days to bowl them out I'm pretty sure they would have caved. They know that they possibly just need to survive for 30-40 overs so it really puts all the pressure on the England bowlers. That's the game though, if we pull out a win we'll have well and truly earned it, still not confident.

We need to break this stand and then we have at least one ‘weakfish’ end to be bowling at.
