I don't think that's what the term means.

I've always taken it to mean entities that are so powerful and influential they are like a shadow world government, and will influence national governments for their own advantage. Banks are a classic in this, which have historically lead to antisemitic and anti Zionist slurs because clever Jewish people quite often headed the banks particularly in US.

Given the ****storm they’ve had thrust upon them it feels the easiest option.

You really are pathetic.
All the evidence is piled up in front of you and you simply choose to ignore it, just to maintain your ridiculous stance.

"Yeah, but, but, you're a right winger so there....."

Really pathetic.

Well you are a right winger so there. Which would be fine if you weren’t so embarrassed about it to the point of pretending you aren’t such a bog standard shy Tory.

Not read it but I very much doubt it would have happened if the Prime Minister, the entire Tory party and every right wing journalist and grifter hadn’t been crying about it for 36 hours.

So what you’re saying is that you disbelieve an apology, that you haven’t actually read, that has been written by the people who are the ones doing the apologising for something they’ve done ?

****ing hell Bracknell :emoticon-0140-rofl:

The Globalism you describe would indeed be a bad thing, but I take it to mean supporting international co-operation and integration - i.e. the opposite of Nationalism.

I wouldn't have thought Farage was the type to be against the former, unless he was indeed using it as an antisemitic slur. I can definitely see how he would be against Globalism as I describe it (being a Nationalist and all that) but that doesn't relate to Coutts at all.

Seems he was just being antisemitic.

Anyone using the word knows what they’re doing. Almost anyone anyway.

So no bodies burned to a blackened crisp on the street then...?
Do you doubt that climate change is having an impact on these temperatures, Goldie’s?
They'd have lost their banking licence. As it is, Nige is the People's Champion against the globalist, elite banking system and its ultra wealthy executives
:emoticon-0136-giggl Very witty. Farage does hate these people, but only because he was too thick to join their ranks professionally. Why on earth would an anti elitist need to bank at a ‘**** off plebs’ place like Coutts? The chip on his shoulder is the main driver of his ‘career’ in my opinion, and his fans have similar self esteem issues.

You do know that ‘globalist’ is an anti semitic trope widely used by the Alt Right, don’t you? Farage most definitely does, his mates Steve Bannon and Alex Jones were responsible for popularising it in certain circles. It will be strenuously denied by the secret fellow travellers on Unherd and Spiked of course.
Oh, and of course I agree that hard left/Labour anti semitism exists and is essentially the same thing, but that’s not really an excuse for others, is it?

Are you a climate change denier as well Goldie?

Isn’t it funny how we use the phrase “climate change denier”…..like akin with “Holocaust denier”, which seems purely to elicit some kind of emotional response that anyone who thinks that the climate stuff is mostly sensationalist and another way to make the public “scared” of something.
We need to be scared ‘cos it keeps us under control. Obey

I really didn't know the term was used in that way, but then it's not a term that I use. Am I really that naive in thinking that it related to international co-operation?

Reading a bit too much into that I fear. It’s actually a genuine question, I’ll go back and edit it so it doesn’t raise your hackles, precious.

It’s been hijacked - by the alt right but also by the anti alt right factions. Another word weaponised by interest groups which means the rest of us have to use it with care.

Not particularly a dig at you but if you wanna take it that way….oh well I’ll live. You might just get a Chinese burn from me next week as punishment.
I was more thinking of a programme I watched a while back, basically saying what I posted. About how the Islamic threat was all sensationalism to make us “scared” of the big boogeyman.
It might have been up your street……but seeing your reactions to any posts that go against your narrative, you probably wouldn’t.

I don’t have a narrative. I have a story. I know you have a liking for conspiracy stuff.

Sensationalist? The world's burning up in front of our eyes, mate.

It won't just affect the middle classes.
