I understand your point, but what I'm saying is part of the justification to drop asm and sell him is he shows a lack of potential. He wont improve, that's clear.

Gordon wont be first choice, and also if you're playing him you're playing him to improve him because he's shown potential that he will one day become a productive player.

Gordon's excuse is his inexperience, but I agree if he's not getting many returns he should not be first choice, but there's a clear reason we're selling ASM, because his output is inexcusable considering his experience at this level.


Does he deserve to take Almirons place ?
 
Gordon was never the first choice LW anyway, so he was never in a position to be dropped, he was always a back up.
 
Barnes for 38m is good business.

So it's Barnes, Almiron, Gordon, Murphy, Joelton, Willock and Isak that can cover wings.

We just need a LB now and maybe a CB and that will be a fantastic window.

I read somewhere that the priority is cover at right back ahead of left back. Made me wonder if their aware of an issue with trippier where he may require surgery or something
