You're missing the entire point ... but anyway you agree the club can't spend much and has to sell players ... remind you of anything?
"it'll be like Ashley times" Cool, so you think we'll still make another couple of big signings then. Nice
I think they'll sign players after Barnes yes ...I don't see them being big signings like we've started getting too used to. The prices are almost irrelevant tbh....who says they can't find a couple of gems. I feel like I'm under attack for suggesting newcastle need to wheel and deal, but that's what the evidence suggests doesn't it ?
Aside from ASM, we don't have many saleable assets (that we want to get rid of) so we will find ourselves in a pickle transfer wise. Of course we could offload some dross and raise some additional funds but who will sign the likes of Lascelles and Lewis? As ice said before, once we up the commercial aspects, we will fly. We can't just offload players to Saudi, that would look dodgy as hell (for those who ask that question!)
There's no telling a % of the fanbase mate because no matter what they're told and no matter how many sources tell them they simply choose to ignore all the evidence. They find an excuse to believe it's all just fake news and Newcastle will buy more big name players at high prices.
£250m over 5 years, I’ll tell you all again, £250m over 5 years. In case you didn’t read my previous 243 posts telling you all we only have £250m over 5 years
Exactly so they're over the amount and player sales will take care of it. The likes of Guimareas will be sold within that time for a huge fee. Like I said at the time the sales will see a return from the initial input of investment in the squad.
We were screwed over by fat Mike. So much so, we actually went backwards commercially. Sure, we had no debt but commercial deals were and are our limiting factor. Percentage of wages to turnover might also be an issue, courtesy if fatso. I'm here for the ride, like yourself. I look at our squad and the improvements over such a short space of time is crazy! The owners always stressed this was a slow process. I believe that, even if top 4 kind of put pressure to rush things
There is certainly a % of the fanbase that don't understand the financial aspects, but I think broadly, on here we're appreciative of the fact. Just as things are tightening up, don't think that everyone has to **** themselves that we'll be shopping in the bargain basement. Commercial growth will come.
He means we will be on the look out for promising youth that won't cost a bomb. Players like Kuol and Minteh for example. I'm happy with ambitious youth signings like that to be fair mate
In the sense of wheeling and dealing in the market it will be..... Ashley did sign well over 100 quids worth of players in the final two seasons.... I know people like to pretend that didn't happen but there's a few still doing well.... Willock Joelinton Wilson Almiron...
