Speaking of which I might be coming up your way next week luv to climb Pen y Fan with nipper. Any good pubs nearby for lunch?

Nant Ddu Lodge is the closest but I'm not a fan, kind of place that thinks it's posh but isn't and the food is hit and miss. You'd have to drive a bit to get anywhere decent.

The Bear in Crickhowell and The Pen y Cae Inn are a bit of a trek but worth it.

The Bear is a 30 minute drive but lovely and the food is really good.

Pen y Cae Inn is about the same and then there are quite a few nice places.

Was going to mention there, but a bit of a way out. What about the Red Lion in Penderyn, that still decent?

There's also Hills burger place in Brecon, but wrong direction i'd say. White Horse Pontneddfechan?

What route in/out would you take @Libby ?

Yes The Red Lion still going not sure if they've kept the COVID Pizza van but that was banging.

Sqwd Gladys is next to the White Horse and better imo. Avoid The Angel though.
 
Next up lascelles to Saudi.... maybe big to Saudi for the price of Hernandez.
