I thought he was, he's been involved in the training sessions, or at least is working his way back to full fitness.
He's definitely been in the training sessions, he's just never been in kit on the matchdays when everyone else has been (who's not injured). That Moylan who he's meant to be replacing is a decent player and I'm surprised we aren't taking him to be honest. He's 21, 22 in September, and played a lot of football for a young lad. He's really tidy, maybe a touch technically limited (but it's hard to tell on those pitches), but there's definitely something there
Rosie on Sinik... "His ability is not in question," Rosenior continued. "What I need to see from Dodo is that he's physically more robust and he's ready for Championship football. "It's a massive shock and it's understandable. I'd find it so difficult as a manager to go from managing a club in England to one in Turkiye, it's a completely different culture. "Off the pitch, your family, your friends, it's a whole different way of life. The climate is different, the food is different, it takes players time. "What Dodo has shown me - and I've had conversations with him - is that he's really committed to being here. He's spoken to Ozan and Ozan has told him about the way we're going. "Every player can see the benefit of working with myself, the staff, and at this football club and where it's going. Dodo wants to be a part of it and my job is to assess that. "Is his potential there? For sure, he's an outstanding footballer, but we now need to see if he can do it week in and week out in the Championship."
True and plenty of British players struggle to relocate. Can't be many as bad as Joey Beauchamp though! He was transferred to West Ham from Oxford for £1m, he initially refused to go but the Chairman said Oxford would go under without the money. He turned up at the training ground for the first time in tears as he was homesick. West Ham off loaded him, without playing a single game, to Swindon after 60 days and he couldn't settle their either even though it was only an hours drive from home. The following season he was sold back to Oxford for £75K! I met him once and he really loved Oxford United. I'm not convinced he didn't engineer the whole thing to help the club.
Andy Smith was supposed to be joining Lincoln on loan towards the end of pre season but has been told by Rosie that he's staying now after impressing during pre-season. Think we can all agree he has done well in the friendlies so far! He's buzzing about it.
Plenty of people struggle to settle in a new job at a new company in any industry and lots more start sluggishly and take a long time to master their new role. I think it’s impossible to have written Sinik off already. Maybe with a wedding out the way he can knuckle down with a clearer head and start to perform.
Great news. I've said before that I'd like him as Jones' back-up for right-sided centre-half now that Figueiredo has gone. Save us money buying a player to replace Figueiredo.
We've not seen a lot of him but off-field issues aside, it's obvious that he needed to improve his strength. If he's done this and his new Missus keeps him happy we could see a baller this season.
Was it Ian Rush who said he couldn’t settle in Italy because it was like being in a foreign country? The young ones going abroad now in their teens seem to cope a lot better.,Though at the age of some of them some of our fans would say they are too young for our team and still learning their trade 3 years older at 22.
