If he wasn't so young I'd start him every game, But don't wanna cause him a injury from over playing.
Because he’s played well in a friendly against a second division Turkish side?
We knew throughout last season that our squad is crap and in need of a massive overhaul. That hasn't happened yet and nothing will change until it does.I'm conflicted, it's only a pre-season friendly and played like one but nevertheless, we didn't win - again - we looked really lightweight up front - again - and it looked like we could concede every time they attacked - again.
But it was a meaningless friendly.
And we still haven’t signed a goalscoring striker, or a defensive leader, which were the two main problem areas last season. We knew throughout last season that our squad is crap and in need of a massive overhaul. That hasn't happened yet and nothing will change until it does.

It's the warm up for the meltdownsThank you some for the mini meltdowns in pre season![]()
And a lot of love indeed!Commentators sound like they’re in Day 1 of Latin lessons when saying his name
(I realise this is a very niche reference!)
But to be fair, Goztepe were playing in their own acclimatised environment and , not only was it hot, from the ripples on the players’ shirts, pretty windy. They don’t look like a professional football team half the time.
I know it was only a friendly, but Goztepe looked much more competent than us. They defended well, tried to counter and threatened a lot given their limited talent.
We as usual looked like a lethargic group of strangers that wouldn’t score from open play in 90 years, let alone 90 minutes.
We need some big signings and big management
Friendlies are extended training sessions. Fitness and getting used to each other in a game situation. They are very important - but results are a bonus.Despite the mini-meltdown comments, it's not really a meltdown, it doesn't make any 'king difference what I say or think anyway but I still think that if pre-season friendlies are this pointless why have them - half or more of the players involved won't be here and the new ones aren't here so who the heck is this benefitting?
