Some wise words about curbing our expectations! http://www.footballfancast.com/2011...t-norwich-city-supporters-had-a-reality-check
Even if we go down i will be 101% behind the board, management team, and players, When the binners are £66mil in debt we will still get our parachute payments..... I predict we will finish 12th by the way
Sum peeple av noothing butter too doo inn there liffe! Edit - How the feck did that happen - I was on the Spelling Policeman thread when I wrote that!
Must admit I was getting a little (just a very little) carried away with the momentum that was building up over 5 or so games but Villa brought me back down to earth again.
What a totally patronising article, made me angry, actually. Most of us know we're walking a tightrope during this first season, and place our expectations accordingly. Some fans will always moan, that will never change.
Agreed gandy, struck me as very patronising too. I felt it implied that all canaries expect us to stay up, which obviously is not the case.
He's making big assumptions and taking one or two fans' views to reflect all or most of the Norwich fans. Very bad article, and bad journalism.
yup this is poor in places - most people on here are pretty balanced. He should probably post it on the pink un message board.
Sorry Dave, the article was too obvious and unresearched. We are all warming ourselves in the sun for now I'd agree but I bet most supporters are realistic enough to know it could all come crashing down in two or three games i.e. the next three, and we'd be back where I'm sure the media would love us to be.
If I told my bank that I owed myself 10 million, do you think they might lend it to me to be repaid when I pay myself back?
no brother of mine! totally patronising garbage nice to see warky not understanding how badly run his club is
Everyone's going to have good and bad patches in football that's the reality of it, and the excitement is human nature if other fans hadn't been excited seeing their team jump 2 divisions in 2 years then perform well early one then there is something wrong. Realistically though we still need to have a really good January-March and if we do we have a good chance to stay in the league
Wherever we sit in the table at the moment, our run-in should be cause for most Norwich fans to exercise a bit of caution and lower our expectations. Regardless though, great start to the season and ILWT. We'll be fine!
