Nice still need to terminate his contract. Looks as if they did exercise the option. Hopefully a formality. Also, you were saying it was done deal before it was announced he was having a medical. Anyway, might all be accademic come tomorrow. Fingers crossed it all falls into place as it would be a real coup.
Makes me wonder if I am the only one smiling. New manager, new players and promotion on the horizon so everything in the garden is rosy. No one can stop you being happy unless you let them and I certainly don`t.
I was saying the other forum had it as a done deal weeks ago and they also had the three signings before anyone else. Reading between the lines Ramsey said he wanted to remain in Cardiff with his family, his family have missed out now he is putting them first and he is in luck as he can stay in Cardiff and play for us.
I dont disagree. I know all that has been said. The 'other forum' has had lots of ITK, deals done before. And its been bobbins. I believe they said Bale was a 'done deal' last year. I've learned to roll with gossip until the ink is dry. Good to get excited about things, but it ain't done until it is done. The Nice thing is still an odd one. Reading between the lines, Ramsey is still a Nice player, so if they dont play ball, yes, ramsey may have had a medical, but yes, he could still be flying off to play for Nice. Im hoping you are right, and it looks increasingly likely, BUT, there are still Is to dot and Ts to cross. I will join your celebrations when I see him holding the shirt and the transfer is ratified. The Nice thing still baffles me.
I liked the red strip and it is a pity the fans at a match did not get a chance to vote, however this is not a fashion show it is about winning games.
The red in return for another £100 million. Still I am only interested in winning games as it makes no difference what colour the shirt is.really. So far we have had all good news on players coming in and back from injuries and we can look forward to a promotion push.
It's funny, that used to be my argument for a short while... success and wining is the main thing... does a colour REALLY matter??? In the end I realised that for me personally, actually it DID matter. The promotion under Malky, however welcome it was just didn't feel right and there was always a sense of detachment for me. The promotion under Warnock, despite us only being runners up that season felt so much better. Maybe in part because it was unexpected (as you say jck, we had splashed the cash under Malky to assist our quest so it was less of a shock in many ways). I've since come to realise that I'd much rather retain a genuine connection with the club and keep a true sense of identity, even if it means supporting a club that remains in the "lower" leagues for the rest of time, because actually, winning ISN'T everything and the club can create a sense and source of pride in many ways that aren't connected with results on the pitch. Yes, of course it's great when we are winning and doing well, it just creates an additional buzz and puts smiles on thousands of peoples faces, but behind that, many of us have a strong historical connection to the club too, that can be stirred up by simple things such as (rather topically) a new kit design that may invoke happy memories from years gone by, or, in my own personal case, having a club representative turn up at my brothers funeral (he was such a big fan of the club and we were taking a collection that we donated to the City Trust. They were so thankful and one of the team came along to meet the family in person, a lovely, heart warming gesture). Likewise my mothers funeral many years back. We were owned by the Kumar's at that point (remember them??). Terrible owners from an investment point of view, things just stagnated massively under them, but my sister was working at the club at the time and as mark of respect for her a female director (who's name alludes me now) who was also (I believe) the wife/partner of one of the owners came along to pay the clubs respects to my mum as a way of showing empathy for my family. The clubs consistent approach to trying to give fans, both home and away a good, safe experience and winning awards for it is another... just trying to be a bigger, better part of the community within which it sits, all this gives me (personally) a sense of pride in the team whether we win, lose or draw. I am very much aware this is a personal viewpoint though, and many people will only stick with a winning club and turn their back as soon things go pear shaped on the pitch so don't expect you or anyone to agree with me (though I suspect some will). For me, the longevity/safety of the club, identity and ability to do some good (especially in such a corporate, grab all the cash you can type society/industry) over a prolonged period of time far outweighs any 3 points on the pitch. Jeez, this all seems far too deep for a Friday morning.... what's wrong with me???? Snap out of it Brizz, get with the programme.... has Rambo signed yet???
And just for a totally warped view of the potential homecoming.... https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/aaron-ramsey-death-curse-cardiff-30458238 who the fack comes up with articles like this???? Someone seriously needs to get a life (excuse the terminology given the content).
Is it me or is most of the media now completely out of control? Unless it's written by a fan of another Championship club who trying to get into Rambo's head. Absolutely stupid.
Actually, I've just looked at the club website and it's Colwill's body from the kit launch.... unless he and Rambo have exactly the same tan lines.... and no, I don't mean a hotline to VT either!!
I’ve also just seen an article by Agbonlahor who has stated that Ramsey will make Cardiff a worse team. Another has been talking out of his hole for attention.
