Really looking forward to the Barbie film. A major movie about the Butcher of Lyon is long overdue.
Beats some poncy Shakespeare play every day of the week……

Festival of Speed 2023
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID
Spent over eight hours getting to and from the place (from J.23 M25) today.
Pi55poor traffic management and miles of queues.
A great event for petrolheads but even the most die hard motoring fan would have found today very hard going.
Seemed to be far fewer exhibitors there this year too.
My mate is going to Goodwood on Saturday, I don't think I'll relay your message to him. I'll see what he has to say when I meet him next week. Sounds grim though. Silverstone is similar unless you have a helicopter.
Hope your mate knows it’s been cancelled on the Saturday now
No I didn't know that mate. I'll text him to find out.
Because of the high winds apparently mate

I was out for dinner last Saturday in a (surprisingly good) hotel restaurant in Stratford. The table next to us were on some corporate jolly to the Grand Prix. They said they had to get on a coach at 7:00 the next morning (obviously hadn’t bothered with qualifying) to get to Silverstone, which is 40 miles away, mostly motorway, for the race. If you are cycling enjoy the car/coach fumes for five miles……Next time I do Silverstone I'm going to park in a village 5 miles away and cycle to the circuit. Will save 2 hours of stationary traffic.

…..anyone else get the feeling that F1 is a fading sport? Definitely ‘niche’ now. As tennis has become. Cricket is neatly going in the opposite direction.
I doubt it. It’s not meant for people like you.I’d rather sit through a play by Shakespeare

The Kinks on the Whistle Test showing now on BBC 2. Wonderful.
I've unfortunately missed that, I will try to find it on iPlayer or YouTube.
