Don't be too quick to judge. He's joined the fittest team in the league, it's going to take him a minute to catch up.
As long as we have a replacement lined up im all for it. Although i wonder would losing your captain and vice in one window be wise
Would rather we sold Thiago being honest over Hendo No major beef with Thiago - very much a luxury player for me - effects the way we play too but Hendo will just slot in out as and when required and in a number of positions
yep. versatile, demands 110% and is like a conductor on the field. Not going to be relied upon so getting rid would be ridiculous imo
Hendo looks in the best shape of his life, obviously spent all summer training and is ready for the fight. Even if he does leave (highly doubtful), I definitely can't see him going Saudi as the links suggest
Sadly the if’s are the case with Thiago and always will be now I know you don’t like Hendo and respect Thiago But I really don’t understand how you feel that Thiago - who really requires a certain system to be played When he is fully fit With all the players moving around for him is a better option than a guy who can give us 30-40 mins (possibly more if he has recovered well) anywhere on the park (maybe not GK but would t be surprised) I think you are allowing your personal feelings to cloud your otherwise sound judgement on this one topic. I do actually think one of them will go btw that said I am off my rocker on most things lmao
What happens, happens. If we sell Hendo and/or Thiago, we'll be fine with or without replacements. They're both "depth" now rather than "starters". If Sauds steal him, I will wish him best of luck, he's been a great captain and sorry his time came to an end, but we're ready to carry on without him now.
Think we may need one of them - I can see Hendo (not saying I agree with this btw before I am jumped on) being played in the back line at some point this season…
The one advantage if one (or both) leave is that it means more time for Bajcetic to get important first team minutes. Henderson and Thiago may be more "complete and ready" players at this stage, but Bajcetic seems one for our future. At 18, he can probably afford another season on the sidelines, but it would be nice for him to start phasing more into the first team. He's getting to an age where he needs minutes (but not too many).
Yeah get that as I posted above I think that’s where Hendo has the advantage Thiago cannot just be dropped almost anywhere - for him to be effective he needs conditions to be met on the pitch imho. Hendo can be dropped in anywhere and he will do an adequate job as I said I think Hendo will get played like Milner has been this season Possibly one of the youngsters getting more time in Midfield as you have detailed
