Speaking of Pogba, the Beeb has an article saying his last year has been "one to forget". No change there then, I'd say his every year has been one to forget.
Number of things Not debating it - was merely stating I not a fan and hope we don’t get him He turned us down Thought he was getting something better at Madrid And now it’s gone Pete tongue he back interested Not for me - jog on in my world
Plus Levis Colwill interest warming up - have to say I was very impressed with Colwill in the u21’s, though is no gaurantee of success. I really didn’t watch Lavia closely enough to have a view tbh. Both young and clearly talented but a long way from the real thing I guess so £50m for one of them is a risk. it is clear, however, that we will attempt to hoover up talent before we let them leave the country to be sold back to a top 6 side in a couple of years for untold amounts…..dortmund-esque if you like. All we have to do now is actually buy them
So whats the current rumour mill Cheisa - Juve Mbappe - PSG Lavia - Southampton ?? Thuram - Nice Colwill - Chelsea veiga - Celta vigo Inacio - Sporting Lisbon Pavard - Bayern Munich Gravenberch - Bayern Munich Caicedo - Brighton It seems to me that we've had a perfect example of a Liverpool window. The player the world and their mother were happy to confirm and the player nobody expected until it was happening If the list above theres large vested interests in having the players name out there as available. Unless Lavia falls into the camp of the macallister signing that the whole world knows whats coming then I think none are #onthelist this summer. We can admire colwill how we like but the core issue is this; cheslea got 60mil off man utd for a player with 12mnths left on deal and 65 from arsenal for a dud who they broke. they are not under ffp trouble as a result (those clubs are idiots) colwill has 2 years lef ton his deal and Chelsea simply will not sell to a direct rival now when they don't want him to go. They were happy land duds on their rivals for massive fees to solve thier immediate issue and they probably have saddled both rivals with players neither needed and won't improve them.
Yeah, you’re right and I suspect Poch will take him under his wing, he likes to develop young players.
you forgot to mention the although the world knew we were talking to Mac, nobody knew what we were paying for him. Very LFC.
I can understand the Mount to ManU ,though their first priority should have been a CF, but the Havertz one just looks odd . Arteta must have some plan for him but for the life of me cannot see what it is and that seems quite a common viewe .
It is ture, but then brighton didn't have any gain from letting it be known either. Say if someone walked in with 65mil for caicedo at the same time they would have rejected it and asked for 80. it doesn't pay to let it slip that actually the partner is going for 35 due to clause. In the end brighton have not got a big bid yet and we have our man.
I cannot undersantd the mount business if they need a CB and CF and GK. I know he could play LW or 10 or whatever but they have players and multiple players for each of those positions including good young ones. If they REALLY only have 120mil to spend and need to sell Maguire to fun this then they have shot themselves in the foot. they are likely to spend the result of july at least talking to inter about the dodgy keeper and end up low balling only to pay every penny and more that inter ask. After that then i don't even know who the striker might be.
£50m for Colwill is no risk, IMO, but there are two things to consider - we will not pay that much, even though we still have well enough FFP wiggle room to do so, and, as MITO says, there is no way Chelsea will sell to us . BUT - if you'd have asked a year ago I would have said there's no way they'd sell Mount, Havertz and Kovacic to Prem rivals: truth of the matter is, even notwithstanding them scandalously being allowed to write off the £1.bn debt to Abramovich as if it had never existed and thus not affect FFP, they're still heavily tilted on column A debits than they are column B credits. They'll still have to sell this summer, especially if they haven't stopped buying (and a lot of the media reckons they haven't).
Still seeing rumours of Henderson to Al Eatafuck and Thiago to Galatasaray. I don't know if a y substance to either. Can't imagine either deal bringing in a lot of money and in the case of Henderson would be ANOTHER home grown down. But Hendo has to be wondering how much he'll see of his balls this year. Captain, but far down the pecking order.
