I used to **** the bed about transfers. I have absolutely and utter faith in us now, it’s like a weight that’s lifted because I just don’t need to stress about it. How can we possibly question it, when we finished fourth after being 19th 18 months ago?!

if Howe thinks Murphy is enough, or Schar is the right man, he’s probably ****ing right. I just want to chill and enjoy a club that has aspirations, plans and structure. I spent 15 years - plus a good few under fat Freddy - hating so much we did. Now we’re never getting relegated, probably winning stuff and will line up on the first match with a midfield of Joelinton, Bruno and Tonali. The best we’ve had since keegan.

They're doing those mental gymnastics as we speak. They have to pretend it's a good signing to save face and they essentially need to tell themselves what they need to hear.
