Clive goes all Alan Whicker in the lead up to the match report....and touches on the Dieng transfer https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/60445 Sounds like we were pretty dreadful
Sounds like we are totally fecked. I know it was a friendly, and the first one at that but for God's sake.....Ainsworth is not the answer.
I have major reservations concerning Ainsworth, but you can't judge him on the first pre-season friendly mate.
I get that. I'm not judging him on the 1 friendly. I'm just going on what I've seen previously over the years. We only stayed up last year due to the Fakes point deduction. Plain and simple. The games we managed to win under his management we were unbelievably lucky to win.....the football was non-existent and awful. Having said that, he is our manager and I will support him and hope he can turn things around as obviously the situation we are in is not of his making. I just don't see any hope at all and foresee neanderthal 1980s football that takes us down. Right, depressing moan over, onwards and upwards. (We hope)
I haven’t had such low expectations from a new season since……well, never. The upside is that anything other than disastrous is a plus and to be celebrated. We’ll know pretty quickly I think.
What I don't get also is that the players with 1 or 2 exceptions couldn't even be arsed to wonder over to those who made the journey to the arse end of nowhere for a chat........ how much does it cost to do this......... The Slavia players spent an hour or so after the game talking to all and sundry while ours were just keeping themselves to themselves........ That's depressing that they thought so little of those who made the journey......
It's hard to find any optimism towards this coming season. I fully expect to see the same style of play but with a handful of different players. Bypass the midfield and lump it direct to dykes. I have nothing against Ainsworth, he's a very limited manager but he's been forced into limitations at Wycombe and now QPR. He's in quite an impossible situation. How do you attract good footballers with absolutely no money. I predict a very messy, poor standard season.
What gets me is that we all on here are talking about Ainsworth limitations, so why the **** didn’t the people offering jobs know the same?
As I said, his limitations have been forced upon him to an extent. I wonder what sort of players and style of play he would go for with some sort of transfer budget. We are getting further behind in this division due to past financial craziness and poor financial management.
I’m still surprised he was offered the job. I didn’t see anything about him or his style of play that excites me, in fact the standard of football was terrible. He got lucky in keeping us up with poor stats. I’m just wondering what will happen at the beginning of the season when we’re not getting any results.
The owners will sack him , replace him with another cheap option and give whoever it is absolutely **** all money for players , and expect them to turn it around !
****ing hell, I’m glad I don’t do my little foreign trips with Clive, what a whinger! A bizarre train trip to a dead town to see a pointless match is right up there as a top experience in my book, with the right attitude. As for the rest, surely exactly as expected at this stage?
