The main problem is not the cashless society but that real money does not exist in real terms apart from the equivalent of the Petty Cash Tin that most companies had to purchase small items from local shops in the good old days

When we had the Bank Crash a few years ago Banks and Building Societies went under because people queued up to collect the "cash" they had in their accounts but the only real money was in the Petty Cash Tin/Cash Tills and when that ran out the Bank/Building Society went bust

Our wealth is a number of digits on a hard drive that only exists as long as every one accepts that those digits are real

Billionaires are only wealthy in terms of digits assigned to assets, if a billionaire wanted to liquify his wealth in cash he would probably be a millionaire in real cash terms

The danger in all this is if all records of how many digits we all have accredited to us were wiped out and could not be recovered we would not have any means of purchasing food etc or paying bills

Even digital money is restricted mate, it might only be numbers on a screen, but once a bank reaches it's daily limit, it would have to get authority from the BoE for more funds, even if those funds are only digital. Quite simply because even digital money can't be all in one place at one time and unlike what some people might think it's not a bottomless bucket. I say this because people think cash cannot be all readily available in reality, but neither is digital currency.

I've no problem with an opposing opinion, I concede on many points raised, as I said you are an absolute tosser. Because you couldn't shout it out as a conspiracy theory you chose to undermine my opinion, even bringing Farage into the debate, when I hadn't even mentioned his name or even alluded to it. I think Abe has called you out right many a time, you don't listen, you don't read, you don't concede on points, you're just a bellend and that's why you come here - the sole purpose of undermining. I leave you with the last reply kunt.

hopefully you’ve ended his suffering by banning him……see how he likes computer says no <laugh>

The main thing is that the youngsters are obvs the future and they aren't bothered about using cash or even visiting shops most of the time .
The monitored society has been here for years and getting worse and we iz the plebs .

This "*****l" would like to know how you thought you could get cash back with a non functioning card preferably without a tirade of insults .

because the tap function was still working……do your shop do you want cash back yes please how much….that was before Covid and possibly during………so can you understand that now……tap function was working but the insert card enter number part wasn’t …….

Anyway after than long explanation about how cards work….I couldn’t get money and if I didn’t have a walk in bank I would have been fkd until nee issue card arrived usually 4-5 working days <laugh>
